Looking at the schedule, Im not sure..
This week we play in Houston. JJ Watt and Clowney are going to feast on Eli. Watson has Hopkins and Fuller to throw to and we are down Apple.
Week after we play the Saints who are a good team with good weapons. Brees to Thomas, Kamara will be tough. They have a better defense also. We have no chance if they put up 25+
After that we are at Carolina. This is the game that we have the best chance to win. We have to contain Newton. They still have a good defense but we might be able to outscore them. It will not be easy though.
After Carolina its Thurs night games at home vs the Eagles with Wentz back. Wentz will have had 3 games to get back up to speed. The Eagles are not what they were last year but they are still a good team.
I say we win vs Carolina. So we will be 1-4 when we play the eagles at home on Thursday night.
Now this is just a guess. We could easily be 0-5 when we play the Eagles.
I think this is the game where Beckham goes for 9 catches 175 yards and 2 TDs. Rosas makes 3 FGs. And Eli finds SS for a red zone TD. 30-24 Giants.
We break the 30 mark. We win a game. Eli plays well. BBI has nothing to bitch about for 1 week.
A man can dream, right?

You're allowed to score more than 30 points? I didn't know that was possible.
Houston has looked pretty bad, but it's a bad matchup.
A bit bleak, but I agree that another three win season is definitely possible if the OL doesn't improve. Right now, they can't identify and block simply stunts and blitzes, and are being handled by just four or five DL.
I agree. I also think we are going to get boat raced out of the building this weekend. Just a hunch.
THIS!!!!!!
I would argue that having an inept offensive line is the worst UNIT to be bad at. We have seen plenty of teams win games with horrible "game manager" QBs, pedestrian WR/skilled players, defenses that gave up a lot of points, etc.
To win games you are going to have to succeed when the defense knows what you are doing (i.e- 2 min drill). If any other team knows we are passing, they are going to attack the right side of our line and have success getting to the qb very quickly.
I love the optimism of everyone saying, "it has only been two games, the offensive line could click." While I am hoping that is ultimately true, we just lost our starting center for the year. I think we are more likely to get worse than better as a unit (If that is even possible). And now with Solder tied down for however many years, I just do not see this getting any better ANY time soon unless we take a monster tackle in the top 5, in which case it will probably still take years before our line is average.
I am sure Houston fans are saying the Giants are the perfect matchup at 0-2 and they'll kill us.
Hasn't every team - including us - been on that side and things don't materialize the way you expect.
Let's see what happens................I'm not ready to drape the place in black yet.

Damn. That is one acid-induced dream. Let me know how I can get some of that.
The Giants would have a better chance at scoring if they stood up five tackling dummies in front of Eli. Make that seven if you include the TEs/FBs. At least the dummies will provide some resistance and won't make any penalties.
I won't have any confidence in the Giants being able to produce an NFL-caliber effort on offense until I see it. The Giants could win, as someone mentioned the Texans' defensive stars are coming back from major injuries.
But, in the end, I see the Texans pulling this one out. 0-2 (both losses on the road) at home. Watson has been running pretty well for a guy coming off an ACL and we saw what Dak did on Sunday. The Giants offense is too dysfunctional.
Anyone saying "if "x" happens the Giants can win" is acting on faith, and deluding themselves.
I am expecting a competitive game. A low scoring, competitive game. I refuse to give up on this team after two games. I like our chances this week.
I have a tiny shred of hope that this OL just tires of looking like crap and plays way over its head and Eli comes out focused and angry. It's a tiny shred but it's there. I would not be shocked after the week this team had if they don't come out pissed off and just win.
Plus shurmer has gotten his first taste of the NY media and has to feel his back is against the wall especially being the offensive guru.
Defense has kept them close. All the pressure falls on this offense
A motivator of a coach would have a field day this week....
Said Coach was 19-29 his last three seasons.

To the curb, and the scumbags who cheered it on.

Better than 3-16 last 19 games.

Cool, Coughlin was fired three years ago. Get over it.
He wasn’t part of the solution, the fact that they screwed up the hire after is unrelated to whether he should have been fired.
I don't have anything to base it on other than my own gut feeling, but I suspect Halapio was far from a finished product with the line calls. If we can improve the calls, I think we'll see less mental errors by the line. That won't make them a good OL overnight, but it might still represent a material improvement.
Unless that happens, this offense isn't going to do a damn thing with any consistency...
