The first Super Bowl that I watched with my girlfriend, I made a bet that the Foo Fighters would be playing at halftime within the next 3 years.
She is now my wife of 10 years. That Super Bowl was when Prince played.
It defies logic in my mind. Outside of a potential curse word, he is much safer than a lot of the performers that they have had. He would just rock out with no sexual undertones.
nice guy and a smart marketer. He's figured out how to get rich in the post classic rock era. Not many musicians have. Another good move for him and his band to extend their run a little longer.
True about time being cruel but I think too many surgeries destroy what were once incredibly hot chicks. It is like the hotter you are, the more surgeries you get, the horrific you become.
Just look up some live videos. Even if not your type you can’t deny the talent. And compared to the rest of the trash on the radio these days I’d take them over just about anyone else.

If we're honest, the SB halftime is a pretty lame gig. It's not high on the list of cool shit to do. I went to the Super Bowl in New Orleans a few years back (the blackout game), and my buddy and I left the stadium during the halftime show (I think it was Beyonce but I'm not sure). It was cringeworthy and we couldn't take it.
What was cool was the marching band that played before the game - I think it was from Southern University. They were fantastic. I think the NFL misses an opportunity to incorporate local musicians into the halftime show. But I guess that wouldn't work for the corporate types.

They are a great band. Whether you like them or not, it is amazing how they have endured with absolutely zero change to any members, etc.
