just reached an innings limit it sounds like

unless there are other details I missed.

Assuming he's healthy just reached an innings limit I think this is a good decision.

12-7, 3.3 ERA, 3.2 FIP, 179k, 182 innings all adding up to 4+ fwar age 28 season (12th most valuable starter in all MLB this year). Need to resign him or trade him, can't risk losing that asset after next year for basically nothing.

I’m glad to hear it’s not injury related. He definitely turned his season around, good for him!!
Met him at my friend’s daughter’s wedding, he is a very good friend of the groom. They pitched together throughout the Mets’ organization. Nice young man!! All the best!

Good to see them not push Wheels like they did Harvey in 2015. Though I think Z is right that this should have happened two starts ago.

And what a shame that we never got to see the five aces together. Imagine a rotation in which Thor is arguably the #4 starter
