I mean Odell just basically said he'd ather be in the sunshine in L.A.
Said the team has no heart during practices, also said he's not getting the chances he should get.....sad he has S being out schemed by the cover 2. No way to beat it....
Sure he wasn't... he just never practiced, eventually shot himself in the leg and wound up off of this football team a year after he signed a new deal because he couldn't control himself off the field.
Also, Terps - major hypocrisy here, bud. You are always the first guy to talk about how "lame" obj apologists are by beating the dead horse and sarcastically saying things like "yeah, terrible teammate... awful guy" etc.
What's the difference between that and what you're doing here?

But he’s one of the best players in the league. Pretty much the same as Dez Bryant. When his talent declines to league average he’ll be out of the league. Just like Dez Bryant. But as long as he’s an elite player with a huge contract he can say and do whatever he wants.
Can we not throw "mentally ill" around like it's some sort of innocent critique? No one here is qualified to make a statement like that and it's not something you casually label someone with if you're not a professional and don't know the guy personally.
Call him selfish or a diva or whatever makes you happy but don't use mental illness as a criticism of him.
I guess I just don't really understand what makes Beckham selfish or a loser.
If he were so selfish, why do all of his teammates speak glowingly of him? Why has he been so supportive of Barkley from day one?
If he were so selfish, wouldn't he want the spotlight all to himself? Why would he be the first guy to congratulate Barkley when he scores or makes a big play?
He's selfish because he wants the football more?
I don't understand how a fan can repeatedly say that all Giants fans should be angry over the current state of the team, but when a player echos the same sentiment, he's a selfish loser.
A lot of great players have been stuck on bad teams over the years. Football is and has always been a team sport. You either get that or you don't.
It’s most definitely only the losing. Who the fuck cares about any of this other crap? I just want to win. So does Beckham. The dude is pissed off and saying shit that means nothing.
It’s always about the winning or losing. Everything else is just gossip.
He’s not complaining about the location as much as he’s complaining about the losing. Beckham is saying he’s miserable and would rather be ANYWHERE else because of the losing. He’s not issuing any veiled trade me requests.
Or selective memories or simply don’t know your history. I can rettle off dozens of former greats who either vocally bitched to the press, led a mutiny to get a coach fired and routinely demanded more looks or attention from via the playbook. I’m talking legendary players here. Guys like Jerry rice in the nfl or magic Johnson in the nba and plenty more.
but I just saw it. To me it is not a positive at all. Beckham is going to be a leader and face of this team going forward. This interview he must have said "I" a million times and mentioned he was upset that his numbers could have been doubled or tripled.
The selfish nature of the interview, the casting of all negatives through the lens of how this affects me personally all seems at odds with team building.
The shitting on Eli and his HC (out schemed) is par for the course, but after this season when Eli is gone, how do you think the rapport will be with the new QB if Beckham is not lighting it up. For my two cents this interview and what insights it gives into Beckham and his thinking boxes poorly for the future and is not the attitude needed for winning football.
Also, many on here credit this interview with galvanizing the team to pay harder in yesterday's loss, yes another loss. If that interview is an example of leadership for this team going forward I am concerned. Sucks how much this team has fallen and personally I take very little positive from yesterday's loss.

funny antrel rolle on live radio said the gianst had no heart and called out the team for having no "dog" in them in 2011 and they went on to win a superbowl...

and everyone calls rolle a tremendous leader...
We shall see. I doubt the Giants will win it all this year. If they rip off three in a row to pull to 4 - 4 than maybe there is something to this. But, to me this will be negative long term.
No, I didn’t see the interview. No, I don’t care to. Â
no one is struck by the way the whole thing is centered around me me I I?
And this is what he says in public, imagine his real feelings. I might be bias, but as I watch the Beckham Giant era roll on loss after loss, and he shit the bed in his biggest game so far, I wish maybe they had taken someone else. I do not see this going well long term. I will be happy if I am wrong.
No, it doesn’t bother me what he says. NO ONE works harder than this guy. Eli and company know this. Period.
Does THIS bother you?
Q: Do you have a problem at quarterback?
A: I don't know, like I said, I feel like he's not going to get out of the pocket. We know Eli isn't running. Is it a matter of time issue, can he still throw it? Yeah. And it's been cool catching it shallow and trying to take it to the house. But I want to try to catch over the top of somebody.
He is asked if there is a problem at quarterback and the first words out of his mouth are I DON'T KNOW. So you're ok with him taking pot shots at Eli?

Also, out-schemed came out of his mouth which is a direct shot at HC and the staff. A brand new staff mind you just five games in. It boggles my mind how anyone can think this is positive or helpful to the team.

You'll find many here that think he's a leader in the locker room. I actually agree with them there. Whether that's a good thing, well...
I'll wait..
This again huh
I'll wait..
We will still after this game have apologists.
Again....the fact that he is a giant is a travesty.
You sure about that?
Sure he wasn't... he just never practiced, eventually shot himself in the leg and wound up off of this football team a year after he signed a new deal because he couldn't control himself off the field.
Revisionist history is awesome.

You can't tell when you're being mocked?
Have at it. Just don't complain that other people are being "lame" when they comment on this topic.
Call him selfish or a diva or whatever makes you happy but don't use mental illness as a criticism of him.
Its when it gets predominantly the case that it gets sickening.
You’re the mentally ill one. The way you obsess about certain players is freightenting. You are definitely unstable and need to see a therapist.

I guess Saquon Barkley is a loser too.
Creating a national story does not advance the giants as a football team.
Expressing his frustration and unhappiness in this forum serves nobody but Odell and espn
I guess we should get all the vultures out for Shep too now because it's only fair. If it were Beckham, it would be a big fucking deal
1 pass attempt, 57 pass yards, 1 pass TD.
But we'll keep blaming this guy for the losing. Seems smart.
Giants were not willing, he stays for the money in NY.

He was the best player on the field AGAIN and made one rare mistake. You’re an idiot AGAIN.
Get your emotions under control before you post.

still shouldn't have done that interview
he said his teammates have no heart. i'm sure they love hearing that.

Losing is a disease.
Go watch the scene from The Natural...
