That WR pass to Barkley play

jnoble : 10/7/2018 8:25 pm
They should use that more often. Hope it wasn't just a one-time thing. I know the Giants traditionally don't use many trick plays but with the talent we have why the hell not?
I don’t

Think it’s a play you can use often. Trick plays don’t work that way
I think it's a viable play you can run

with someone like Odell, who has the ability to also take the ball and run with it rather than pass it if the opportunity opens up.
They can run the reverse of it - have Barkley throw to OBJ

.
You dont run THAT play again..

but you do try a different one. It keeps defenses honest as they watch film and see that you are not afraid to pull a trick out of your ass.

I would actually run one of those plays every week.
didn't they try it a few weeks ago?

OBJ was smothered and had to throw the ball away or eat it.
Great play

but I went to a Dunkin Donuts drive through and came back and the ball was still in the air!! That's got to be thrown on a line in the future. I realize Beckham had a defender in his face but that ball hung in the air FOREVER !!

Dan Reeves ran the flea flicker on a fairly regular basis when he coached us. And the occasional HB option pass

people. But that was the most creative play I've seen by the Giants since I started watching (2001 season). The two-point conversion was another great designed play.

Meggett threw 3 TDs vs the Redskins over the course of 3 games from 1993-1994.
I think we'll need more creative plays.

With our O-line we aren't going to win many games via execution alone. We can't run the Green Bay power sweep to victory.
They tried that play in a previous game this year

I can't remember which game but it wasn't open for Beckham then.
The East Rutherford Special!

It was a good play call

And it makes lots of sense. Teams swarm hard whenever Beckham or Barkley have the ball. They need to make teams pay for doing that more often.

Exactly. I was thinking the same thing. They can run this even a few times each game because Odell can run it.
