The Gmen should make a hard push to win with the offense next season and season after.
Barkley reminds me of Billy Sims and Beckham is just freaking beyond amazing. For next year this team needs to get THREE offensive linemen. Get two in free agency and draft a 3rd.
These two need an OL. You give Barkley any type of hole and he's gone. You give a decent QB time and Beckham is a supreme force. Ensure that the team is very good in the trenches with a good OL (it doesn't need to be great- just good - but its got to be better than average) - the offense becomes a beast that only tremendous defenses can shut down.
If we can continue to stink this year- get ELi take a huge paycut, select a QB in top of the 1st round, and get THREE OL - of which the two fa's are above average-- Giants can be a good football team in the near future.
It sucks to lose but damn these two are exciting. Say goodbye to OV, have ELi take a huge cut (or get an inexpensive older QB), draft a QB, and don't bring back COllins then the G-men can afford two good OL while drafting a 3rd.
**If need be- trade SHephard before next season you can get some value for him. GMen getting 3 OLinemen then they will already be a beast offensively. We wouldn't need Shephard. He will shortly become expensive and the Gmen could better use their resources in other positions.

If as I've indicated the Giants pay for TWO GOOD FA Olinemen -- -- the Giants offense will feature a lot of touches for Barkley and target a lot of passes to OBJ.
**IF they can run because they have a good OL-- won't OBJ have a lot of opportunities? -- If Barkley and Beckham are being targeted so often-- how many chances will SHephard get?
***After 2019 Shephard is going to be a UFA. You think he likes be the 3rd option? He'll want to get paid as a 2nd option (maybe he thinks he is even better). WHy would the Gmen pay him 2nd WR money at a position in which he'll be the 3rd skilled-position option? HE's not going to be targeted that often. Next year he'll think he's better than how the Giants have used him. Just like any other human being-- he'll want to get PAID for what he thinks he's worth.
Wouldn't it be better to pay / get other positions which we'll definitely be in more need of? **Unless you think Engram will continue to be a bust or you can't find a cheap 3rd option?
By getting two OL in fa for next year -- we're paying a ton of money to THREE OL, a WR. If we can afford SHephard great. But we'll probably be extremely weak at other positions for 2019 and 2020 - much weaker than a position player.
Shepard and Engram are going to be complimentary players but are going to rock as well in the next 20-25 games.
I actually think left side is ok at this point of the line. NYG should sign some o line help next year draft a qb and if the team is scoring a lot for rest of year should even consider keeping manning around one more year.
NYG needs a pass rusher but secondary if they keep Collins is good and the line will hill and Tomlinson and snacks is going to be good. They need a good pass rusher in worst way however.
