The division still isn’t out of reach, especially if Washington were to lose tonight. Only one game back of both Philly and Dallas (though we do have the loss against Dallas) and five more division games to go. I think after how hard they fought yesterday, especially in the second half, seeing Shurmur after the game, etc. that this team could come out swinging Thursday night, and possibly get some momentum going.
1-4 is obviously a terrible start, but I am not ready to give up, especially seeing how the rest of the division has looked, seeing the offense show some life, hopefully getting Vernon and Engram back soon...
I know this may not be the popular opinion here, but there’s enough going on right now to at least have some optimism, for me anyway.
They played their hearts out yesterday and I believe will get better
But they aren’t going to any Super Bowl this year.
Thus given the state of this rebuild I want draft position so maybe in a year or two we can compete.
Still missing their starting TE and by far their best pass rusher. Giants can definitely play better.
we can only hope, if i am a player i am looking at the division and feeling like the season is just starting...
Need engram and vernon back
Teams with old immobile QBs, bad offensive lines & no pass rush aren't going to win many games. We cannot do things consistently well enough to win, and that's not going to change.
Look at the army of badasses this team's had when it won under Coughlin recently, and look at the team now. It's not a winning professional team.
This team won 3 games last year. They have improved in some ways, but are not close to being good. it's great that they have an amazing WR and RB, but you just don't win with a lack of Oline, pass rushers, or elite QB. Better to accept that sooner rather than later, IMO.

Well if you are hoping for the playoffs prepare to be disappointed for sure. Statistically close to impossible to make the playoffs.
But I do feel good about Sunday. It was gut wrenching, I was pissed whn it happened, but I think the fight of the team got to me. They could have mailed it in (1st Q looked like it).
I think Shurmur still has the team and I think the entire team is pissed. I think we will see a surge, but a HUGE part of it is this Thursday. If they come out with fire and win this game, I like where the team is headed.
If they lay an egg, I'll have been wrong and the unraveling had begun.
It was said after the Texans game. One of Eli's best games ever.
He sucked the next week. Team loses 2 games in a row after the Texans win. There is no consistency with this team, nothing carries over.
