That’s good but it’s still money that could have been used better this season. Stewart/ Martin/ Omaneh etc.

He's a backup LB. I was more pissed at his offsides penalty which lead to the Panthers converting on 4th down instead of punting.

The guy I'm scratching my head at is Landon Collins. He just isn't the same guy he was in 2016. Even his physical tackling is gone. Watching him get repeatedly run over by D.J. Moore, plus his pathetic attempt on Cam, was infuriating.

If he can't be a physical force he really has no value. Hard to believe he's a captain playing like that. At least he runs his mouth a lot...

The pass rush is an embarrassment right now. Need Vernon back in the worst way

Collins hasn’t been the 2016 version of himself, but he’s been solid. He’s improved in pass protection a lot since with first 2 years. The missed tackles are certainly worrisome though.

Still you can’t compare Kareem Martin’s comparison to Collins’. It’s not remotely close.

It has felt like ages since we’ve had a decent pass rush. I lile OV but he’s rarely in good enough health to maximize his potential. So I don’t have high hopes that the guy that showed well in preseason will be the guy we see once he returns.

Vernon were still on the team. Biggest waste of cap space ever by Reese. And that’s saying something

What Round was he picked by Miami. Every other GM found guys after rd 1. But the BBI hero never could. Injuries happen but paying JJ Watt money to this guy is one of the reasons why the team has holes everywhere

You still need to find quality pass rushers, and the lack thereof is part of the problem this season. No pass rush.

Obviously he has to contain. If not, you get what the BYU QB did against Martin the week before.

I thought the defense overall was doing a good job, outside of some sloppiness with tackling and a few plays. The scheme wasn't horrible. It wasn't enough to win the game, but this was a game we were supposed to be buried.

have a league low five sacks. Snacks, Tomlinson, Hill, Jenkins, and Wynn are run stuffers, not pass rushers. We need more from Barwin, Carter, Martin, and Mauro. QBs have way too much time to throw. That's part of the reason the middle of the field is wide open on so many plays. Deep in routes take time, but QBs have enough given our lack of pass rush.

Does anyone think that Carter should be starting? I mean in less playing time Carter has 14 tackles (9 solo, and 5 assisted) and 1 sack. Martin is useless out there.

has played beyond tentative. He is protecting himself for a huge deal. I'm sorry, but I do not want to resign him. Unless he proves to us he is that same animal on tackling and stopping, making big plays. I don't think we invest in him.

I love Landon, best defensive player we have drafted in some time. But tying up 12-14m a season to a guy who all of the sudden simply cant tackle and dives at toes. Nope
