This loss still pisses me off. The losses to the Jags, Cowboys & Saints were par for the course for this franchise & I’ve become numb to that kind of loss. But, yesterday was a gut punch. I’m not fully blaming the refs, as Sy pointed out in another thread, it always tends to even out. What really bothers me is this:
-Eli had some awful, inexcusable throws, but he bounced back. It was vintage Eli, responding and giving us the lead after some bad picks. He threw the ball down the field.
-Beckham & Barkley were fantastic, both made a huge impact on offense.
-What better way to break the 30 point streak than to win 31-30 on a late game winning drive.
-Dallas & Philly lost.
-In a year where kickers have been awful & muliple games lost due to kicking, we lose on a 63 yarder. Of course.
Regardless of what you think about Gettleman, Shurmur & the Barkley pick, this is the team right now. And getting to 2-3 tied with the Eagles & Cowboys would have been nice. I don’t know if this can be a rallying point, or it falls apart further from here. Thursday will tell a lot of that story.
The muckrakers are all excited about OBJ and possibly Shepard now who was seen beating up a trash can on the sidelines. Yes! Drama!
