...let me see if I've got this right:
(1) OBJ sprints to his right to prevent DJ Moore from downing the punt inside our 5 yard line;
(2) Punt bounces off the back of OBJ's leg and rolls right into the hands of Janoris Jenkins who takes a step or two before Curtis Samuel pops the ball out;
(3) And then Eli Apple comes flying into the play and inadvertently kicks the ball into the end zone, where he tries to fall on it;
(4) But Apple can't gather in the ball which conveniently squirms right to Colin Jones for a quick six.
Guys... between shit like that; big-ugly, stupid refs; and a 63-yard FG with time expiring, the Giants ran into some sort of time warp.
That loss felt pre-ordained.
Like a Joe Pisarcik fumble.
It somewhat reminded me of Wally Henry in Philly back in the 1981 wild card game on the kickoff, when he botched the kickoff, booted it around and Mark Haynes recovered it for a TD. That was much more enjoyable.
That about covers it, get Beckham out of punt returns.
Find the damn ball first, then block the guy out of bounds.
No clue where the damn ball was.
The guy was trying to do to much.
get HIM on the active roster. It's been a disaster back there all year so far.

I've said on BBI before, I'm ok using Odell on punt returns when the Giants want to try to make a big play. If you are looking at a punt which will be fielded around mid field. Send Odell out there because he can break one. I wanted the Giants to use him similar to how Deion Sanders was used a few years into his career (he started as the primary punt returner but was later used based on the situation). Darrell Green on Washington was the same, they put him back there when they needed a big play.
Fielding the ball inside the 10 calls for a fair catch or get out of the way. Nothing else. I know the argument is that Odell has the best hands so just let him do it, but the worst part was his aggressiveness cost the Giants.

I hear you, inside the 10 yard line, not a good idea
with OBJ, not experienced enough. That was ugly!
...the week after the infamous Joe Pisarcik "Miracle in the Meadowlands" fumble, the Giants came out flat and ugly getting wrecked by Buffalo 41-17.
I said in another thread that the loss to Carolina represents Pat Shurmur's greatest challenge as Head Coach of the New York Giants.
How will he pick this team up after they played their hearts out; overcame too many fucking turnovers; were robbed by the refs; and then finally took a 63-yard FG straight in the nuts?
How will he convince his team that they are still relevant at 1-4 and that they can still win ball games in the NFL?
John McVay never pulled the Giants out of their 1978 tailspin after "the Fumble", and he was gone before the start of the next season.
Yup, he started drifting to his left first and the punt went right.
