In fact, I don’t think we’ll see Vernon until after the bye week. Too bad, I think this defense has the potential to be very good, and they have been in spurts this year, but he’s a key missing piece. Hopefully they can win a couple without him to get back into this division race, then he can return to take the defense to the next level.
after the season. Pay cut or go. The Giants are only 22mil under the cap with only 34 players on the roster. The next 17 at close to minimum and draft class eats up the 22 mil.

The next 17 at near vet min eat up about $9/10m.

In the immortal words of dick-head Gregg Williams:
“I tell them all the time, there’s two words that begin with the letter A they have to own to be a professional football player. One’s accountable. The next one’s available. When you’re not available, you’re working on your training-room internships.”
I mean, he's an all time jerk, but he's right about the availability thing... I don't care how good you are, if you can't stay on the field (even through no fault of your own), you do us no good.

Folks need to realize that our world is unforgiving when "value" is not there. Value can be defined in different ways, but you see stuff like a guy paid a great deal, injured, and bad optic kneeler. Soft and cannot be relied upon. It is the same way in life, go to guys. Would you jump in a foxhole with this guy when shit is on the line?

I'll believe he will play when I see him on the field. And if he does not play all season, I will not be surprised.
I think they held him out, so he could play Thursday night
He's been sidelined for around 4 to 5 weeks, so its not 3 days.
Easier to forget he is on the team
For whatever reason some players are oft injured and some heal slowly. He seems to be both.

Didn’t mean “at that point” twice...
