Hey man thanks for a great time!! Nothing better than partying with Giants fans on the road. We had a blast in the lot and was great to meet some new folks and run into some old friends out there. JohnC in the Endzone great to see you guys again, brought a huge smile to my face when you guys walked in. Sorry we didn't make the after party, we weren't ready to push the guy in the wheel chair back that far.
Good thing we had all those drinks, made getting fucked by the refs slightly less painful... But really this threads not about that, just wanted to say thanks again.
Outside of my son learning a new grift using a wheelchair, it was all good fun, and we left your liquor there for area bums to take later in the night!!
Next time the Giants are in Florida, I'm coming down!!
I am sure Fatman did his usual best, but at least my son and myself had a couple of extra DOS XX to ourselves which helped moderate the screwjob we got from the refs.
2. on TV it sounded like there were a ton of Giants fans there. Accurate? If so, way to represent.
Cut to this year Sat night. We left him passed out in the room when we went out uptown. About 10:30 the hotel calls our friend and says wheelchair guy (he wasn't in the wheelchair besides game day) is walking around naked in the lobby of our fancy Hilton hotel!! We told them we were out on the town so they gave him a free robe and some guests he befriended earlier from the bar walked him back to his room and put him to bed. He thought we were fucking with him when we told him the next morning, he doesn't remember any of it. It was all the talk of the staff and other guests. We were very happy we made a bunch of friends around the place Fri and Sat. Oh yeah, the naked thing happened while a 200 person FANCY wedding was going on downstairs to boot. Ahhh, memories.
Either way good tailgate and thanks for the sausage, burgers and sodas.
Hope to make it to Indy
When you guys told the story of naked Cory(?), I was rolling. Should have strolled over to the Maserati place and jumped on a hood!
Glad everyone had fun.
Rt 9 was that you in the Rangers shirt I was talking to?
Ha, no the gate issue was I forgot the bag rule and we had to go back to the car to put my wife's purse away. Jerry wasn't a problem until the way home.
Lol I already asked but yea, I would be curious.
% of Giants fans?
More or less than normal.
One thing I've noticed, last year and this year is lots of empty seats in general. The Panthers fans around us were smacking empty seats. We joked with them we had never seen that before because in NY we never have empty seats :) A few weeks back in Houston that stadium was at maybe 70% capacity, slightly higher in Charlotte. Some of the lowest number of fans I have seen, especially early in the season, especially with the Giants in town. (Just texted my friend and he said 60% Houston, 80% Charlotte)
We mentioned at the game the NFL seems to have an attendance issue brewing. I found this chart from ESPN claiming the Panthers have had 99.8% attendance and Houston has had 99.9% attendance and I feel like that is utter crap. (Link at bottom, am I reading that wrong?) Maybe the tickets are all sold and that's all the teams care about? Houston tried to have their fans do a "white out", but it didn't work because their seats are blue and red, and a whole lot were empty.
San Francisco with 101.1% attendance this year, 8 teams with over 100%. Seems impressive and impossible.

As soon as the Giants scored that go ahead touchdown at the end, I left because I knew what was going to happen. Then, i was right. I like the Carolinas. I might be looking to relocate south when I get "older". NJ is fine for now because my parents are still alive.
Carolina crowd was very mild, more so into their team then any trash talking. The ones I was around anyway.
But again, it was a good time and I liked speaking with fellow fans
The first time we had a Giants tailgate there, the parking lot was all Giants fans until about 10:30AM.

Thank you for the detailed report.
I have noticed on TV, while the turnout of Giants fans seems decent, it does appear that now we have reached a point where they are diminishing.
Even during the bad years of 2013 and 2014 I think we still held up well thanks to the 2007 and 2011 Super Bowl but now...it's starting to get as low as it did in the mid/late 90s.
Sounded like we had very few in Houston.
