Hard to imagine one blown non-QB pick could set a franchise back years, but it really did. Especially when you double down on the same guy year after year.
Other than the uniforms they are mirror images of the same shitty lack of technique whereas he doesn't even touch the pass rusher until he actually pushes them from behind INTO Eli.
Meh, not even close. Rocky Thompson and there is no substitute. Flowers might be a top 10 because of where he was taken. The Giants have had a lot of very bad picks.
Miami profuces some pretty damn good pros over the years. Few exceptions.
Ereck Flowers
Sinoroce Moss
William Joseph
Are we the only team that took the exceptions??? Haha
Forgot Daryl Jones. Lol, and maybe so. Because I can't think of too many absolutely atrocious draft picks for sure. Every time I think I thought of another, I realied he played for the OTHER FL schools.
Seriously, part of why I like Miami is because they seem to always send football players to Sundays who come ready to roll.
There was first round TE Derek Brown who got smashed by Lawrence Taylor in his first practice and mostly sat on the bench and took their money for four full seasons. Flowers hasn't lasted that long.
The biggest problem with Rocky Thompson was that he was grossly over-drafted as a first rounder when he should have been about a tenth or twelfth rounder.
Old timers will remember the appropriately named RB Joe Don Looney, a number one pick who never showed up and never played a down for the GIANTS.

Hey, it's not a Miami thing. Even Miami fans (including myself) knew the kid was trash.
Seems like a very nice and normal young man.
Very few humans can play OT in the NFL. Especially today, with the Ds they face. Very few.
I wish him well in all his endeavors.
I appreciate nothing.

As a diehard Miami fan, I was definitely rooting for the kid... But he wasn't exactly dominant in college either. Just a bad pick.
I think that ship sailed at the beginning of the season.

Yup I'm one of them too, I gave him a chance because of being a Canes fan, but nope not a good pick. Canes fan since '77
The only thing that is debatable about this guy is what is dumber, the actual pick? Or leaving him at LT after he was clearly terrible?
Now that is a legitimate and difficult debate that I could passionately argue either side of.
I would assume there is someone coming in tomorrow. One move is usually followed by another.

Cedric Jones says hello.
Not only that, he also helped mess up Eli's internal clock.

Bunch had injuries. He doesn't belong in the same thread as these guys.

Wasn't Bunch also the offensive Rookie of the year?
What? No one hired Reese?
