I am continuing my superstition of wearing my weathered "2009 Inaugural Season" Yankees fitted for all HOME games they play. I started it during the WC game and am going to continue to rock this one for home games only. I rock it backwards so the patch is on display. Figured a little WS champion juju might connect.
after yesterday's off day. But apparently this hammy is more than they initially let on. Sucks. He is a great all-around CF. But at least we have a playoff tested vet in Gardner to replace him.

I do not think the drop off, except for power and the arm is that great. Still think Gardner is a better outfielder. He doesn't have Hick canon, but he is damn accurate.
To me it was like this is my house and I'll do as I want in it. Definitely felt like a bit of good gamesmanship making the Sox wait for him. Power move IMO.
he wastes WAY too many pitches...he should be over poweering the bottom of the lineup scrubs, instead he tries to get cute and wastes 3 straight sliders....already at 43 pitches...
Depends on the situation. If Sevy's in trouble or not and when. 5th inning trouble spot, we might see Betances again. If it's early and he just doesn't have it, could be Holder for some innings.
I really doubt they go to Happ. He's lined up for game five. Boone said he was going to CC tomorrow no matter what happens tonight so I'm sure he'll stay away from Happ. They have enough arms for these two games, and even Lynn could see some work again.

No way they go Happ.
If it is still close its probably Green. We are so deep we can use anybody really.
Only definite is if Sev gets clobbered, we see Lynn.
he literally sees no fucking pitches. i hate guys like that. Bostons weakness is their fucking pen, you wanna let evoldi throw a few jesus. first pitch, weak ass ground ball.
No way he even makes it thru 2 more innings. Hes rattled. He might not be a big game pitcher. I know hes young, but he doesnt have that killer instinct.
Has shown himself unable to be relied upon in the postseason. Yes he's young, but hes obv nervy as fuck. Call it arm chair psychiatry" if you want but he doesnt have any balls for big pressure spots.
Lets move on. Get some runs and try and salvage this one with the pen.
Thats all that needs to happen. It doesnt even have to be THIS inning. I am very confident that Lynn will at least locate some pitches and hes past the meat of the order.
Maybe we can stop swinging at that chin high fastball that we cant seem to resist?

He hasn't pitched well in the postseason since 5 days ago.
Can't hit Eovaldi... of course. Guys aren't having good at bats, swinging at stupid shit. Boston seems to be making all the close plays and getting the right amount of luck. And Sevy didn't have it. I doubt Boston is done scoring.
Now they're gonna need to win a game in Boston on Thursday
OK. Goodnight. See ya later. Have a great night. Bye.
I'm sorry, did you agree with Boone leaving severino for this inning let alone letting him load the bases? Especially when cy eovaldi is shutting us down? I saw this game coming from a mile away. Eovaldi did this to us last time we saw him and sevy has been terrible lately. Boone was stupid to put him out there after the second inning.
they have em loaded no outs and THEY FUCKING POUND THE BALL.
they are good, we fucking blow.
Sale tomorrow will end series. the yanks should have went after cole, we would have loved to have one solid pitching performance besides tanaka to hang our hats on

making the case that baseball managers really do matter. Nice job tonight. You think maybe next year the Yankees can find a pitching coach to help Severino stop tipping his pitches?

RE: How did I know Randal was going to suddenly appear? Â
Tonight fucking sucked but whether we lose 17-0 or 7-6, it doesn't make much difference. In fact, we'd be better off just getting blown out and saving the pen for tomorrow/Thursday.
Blasting "NY, NY" outside the Boston clubhouse now is it? Its not gonna be so bad ass reading all the Boston media making him eat shit for that one.
Seriously? You and Bleed Blue can compared how bloody your tampons are later...
my tampon is bloody because i wanted a solid Ace? yes how womanly of me to want a good pitcher that can be counted on in the playoffs. god that was such a pussy move
Arniefez, aka Randall Graves, aka Monty Burns, aka a bunch of other handles I don't remember anymore because hes been pulling this act for like 15 years

i dont start fights, adam just name calls and shit because he like cant handle a fact about the yanks being feast or famine or that they should have acquired an ace in verlander or cole....

Right. I was just saying that him talking shit after TYING the series probably wasnt the smartest thing to do.
But yea, BleedBlue....how bloody is your tampon? Because apparently being critical of a team that is down 7-0 in the 4th means we are mentruating women.

exactly. we cant talk critically about a team that has the serious flaw of no starting pitching or the fact they are feast or famine or the fact that the sox actually do manufacture runs and we cant. i mean just look at the base loaded situations. they get hits, they get 2 strike hitting, they get 2 out hitting. we K or hit homers
i am a douchebag because i am talking about the yankees flaws? lol yea def a dick for that. do you just suck the cocks of every team you root for? are you ever critical? ever?

No but when one person is obviously and always being a dick, recognizing that and maybe pointing that out to them would help diffuse the situation.
Btw, that fight was btwn B and Joey. I stepped in and told Joey that was not how I remembered him and we had a brief back n forth.
I tell you what - I had that thought earlier in the second inning. When Devers was on second, they flashed to JBJ on the top step of the dugout (I believe he was talking to Betts). They we both watching intently, and JBJ said clear as day “it’s a fastball it’s a fastball”.
It didn’t look like he was relaying the info to anyone, more just like they all might be picking something up.
Then again, Sevy throws the fastball a lot. So who knows.
Losing this game would at least accomplish something worthwhile.
Here's a question - if you don't want anyone challenging your knee-jerk hottest of hot takz, why be on a board at all? Anyone disagrees with you and you act like a 2 year old whose binky was taken away.
Bad night for you guys. Tomorrow is another day. CC on the bump. Win tomorrow & you got a Game 5 in Boston on Thursday opposite the Giants. Good luck gents. I'd love a competitive series.

also, hated the approach early on. Didi bunting and Andujar swinging st the first pitch during the second inning. The gameplan, forst last and always against his Red Sox team should be getting into the bullpen.

Curious if you were clapping when Didi was called safe on the bunt? I know I was, and I'm not gonna second guess him or Miggy there.
Miggy's a rookie and playing in his first playoffs. Eovaldi has been throwing strikes and he went after a pitch he liked.
offspeed stuff, but Sevy’s fastball was flat and up in the zone. They put the bat on it and got hits. Chest high 96mph fastballs are batting practice for the Sox.
Our approach is close eyes and swing.
I know we don’t have any open positions, but I’d like a couple of all-around contact hitters like Benintendi on this team.

100%
we have nobody outside of a couple we actually can hit for avg. too many homer or nothing guys.
Eovaldi owns us, it might be less infuriating losing 10-1 than Â
Because as soon as I saw that Boston put Eovaldi in the lineup, I sorta knew this was not going to be good. It’s that revenge factor, and I think Cora banked on that! The fact he’s been pitching somehow amazing against the Yanks is interesting. Cora is an interesting cat, it almost looks like he took a gamble here and it paid off well for him. Cora > Boone. It is what it is.

Well no, he had to push Porcello out because he unexpectedly pitched the other day. But he did tweak their lineup so I’ll give him that.

brother, not shitting on anyone. of course I would've liked to see Didi safe - just saying that these guys should be going to the plate looking for prolonged at-bats. I understand that is certainly not necessarily the first-instinct for hitter like Didi and Andujar. I don't know the numbers, but it seems that Didi has drifted back towards more of his impatient tendencies as the season has gone on - he certainly started the year on a ridiculous tear, along with what appeared to be a more considered approach.
has killed us. Obviously hard to see this coming but he's getting paid $2M this year.
We could have paid him multiples of that to just stay home. Or get injured 6 more times.
What's annoying is he got better after he left us, after other organizations got him to develop different weapons. Type of thing Old Man Rothschild should be doing.
Rothschild is not good, l don’t care what anybody says. This came up Â
early in the season and everybody had a meltdown at that notion.
Anyways, since Boston is full of cheaters, I am sure they have countless hours of videos of Sevy’s windup and at least good educated guesses of what’s coming. The Yanks should look into that. Judging by the numbers of fastballs we take down the middle, I am sure we don’t have such a program. Get the fuck out of here with Martinez’s toy box and relaxation technique, just code words for cheating.

Gotcha wigs. I didn't mean any offense or to sound like a smart ass or anything. I was just curious if your Didi point was a first guess or second.
There's been a lot of second guessing on these threads, and while I wasnt calling for a bunt there, I was pretty happy when he was initially called safe and thought it was ok to try and get something going.
I don’t know what the fuck just happened. I don’t know why Sevy didn’t seem to know the start time of the game, I don’t know why they were seemingly on every pitch of his, I don’t know why Boone was so slow with the hook, I don’t know why Lynn is the first guy out of the pen with the game in reach. I certainly don’t know why Nathan Eolvaldi is now unhittable
But nothing to be done about it now. Gotta win a game tomorrow. Just get it done.
He has the pedigree for it. Would have liked our chances to go up 2-1 more with him and then be able to waste a game tmw if need be. Now that our backs are against the wall, how do we all feel about CC and our odds tomorrow night? Hopefully a similar type of performance we saw when our backs were up against the wall several times last October.
is he's not even that great, below average at best. Thing is he has been owning the Yanks, almost like he has something to prove still? Bottom line is the Yankees don't have a true Ace in this team, without great pitching its very hard to win games in the Playoffs. It's another level come playoffs in baseball..

Not sure if I agree with this take. Sox have an ace and we could have easily won game one. Last year we beat the Indians with Kluber. Yanks have a lot going for them. Sure it would be nice to have an ace too. But many ways to win.
Now the Yanks have a put up or shut up game tomorrow. How this could be a surprise to anyone is confusing. When has a series between these two teams ever not been stressful as fuck and dramatic in the playoffs?

I’m betting on a game 5.
I think the more frustrating thing was in how our bats looked on Saturday night, how down the Sox were complete with Judge's in your face moment walking by their clubhouse at Fenway (yes, I too shared the clip on FB), how awful their pen has been and finally our "ace" taking on Nathan fucking Eovaldi and getting ass-fucked with eye contact by them in our house.
Now we are facing another pitcher who kinda owns us in an elimination game. Sorry, but this one really fucking sucked.
Regardless, what the fuck is going on when the starting pitcher isn't Fucking ready?
I'm sure Boone will have it answered and all clocked for tomorrow. Sorry, but he sucks.
So unbelievably disappointing.
Yeah. Boone sucks so much. He’s totally the reason the Yankees scored 1 run and lost game 3.
Get a fucking grip.
No. But he definitely left 40 in far too long and then brings in our middling starter/reliever with the bases loaded and nobody out. That probably should have been Betances to be honest. Nobody's going to run on him. And he might have shut that inning down. Instead, Humpty Bumpty Lynn falls off the mound.
Its not ALL his fault, but 10-0 in the 4th tends to suck the life out of an offense.

The life had been sucked out of the offense since the start of the game and was into super suck mode right up to Severino’s fateful inning.
The score? 0-0, 1-0, 10-0. It didn’t matter. The bottom line is that, this big, scary offense could only muster up one measly run tonight. Plain and simple. There’s plenty of blame to go around, but singling out Boone for this game is ridiculous.
offensive performance against Eovaldi. Spare me that he throws hard and has good stuff, the guy against the rest of baseball quite simply has been at best a mediocre pitcher for his entire career. But this team can't hit him.
It wouldnt have mattered but Boone was totally lost tonight. Severino didn't have it, and he somehow let him start the 4th, and then somehow let him pitch to three guys in the 4th.
Brock Holt with a cycle? I'm sick of mediocre at best players playing like lou gehrig against the Yanks, nauseating.
Win tomorrow and then thursday is a coin flip. That's the only positive out of tonight
Got some good sleep early on as I have a long day today with my main job and then working a concert at night. Will miss the game but hopefully they get the job done tonight and force a game 5.
RE: RE: I think that, if Severino was tipping for an extended period of time, Â
Then, what's wrong with Sevy? I've been asking that question since BEFORE the All-Star Break. Is it simply location? Pitch selection? Something else?
Sevy's secondary pitches are not being thrown for strikes. He wasted pitches left and right when ahead in the count and was especially bad against the bottom of the order not attacking batters, ala Sonny Gray.

Interesting. Does he need to develop some sort of off-speed pitch -- that he can throw for strikes -- to give hitters something to think about?

I retired early last night as well and got some sleep. Work all day today and then head over to a friends house to do some computer work for him. Let's hope the Yanks force Game 5.
Have to bring Pedro back to talk to Sevy this offseason. Â
Can’t count on Rothschild to fix Sevy. It’s discouraging that, after last year’s success, this year his slider has not become more dependable and his change hasn’t advanced.
Last night he was 95-96mph with his fastball, flat and up in the zone. They were pounding those. Sox are full of disciplined hitters and not biting on his sliders and changes.

It is just my opinion based on his last few games (and a half season). We bash Eovaldi, whose FB is comparable to Severino's. But Eovaldi was getting called strikes on the cutter where Sevy was not getting calls on his slider.
Sox were sitting on his FB because he wasn't getting the slider or change called for strikes. MLB Network had the graphic up last week on Sevy's slider 1st half and 2nd half. 1st half it was consistently low and on the outside corner or just off. 2nd half it was all over from middle-middle to way low and away. So the hitters just out wait him. Even when he gets ahead, the off speed stuff is so bad they won't offer. How many times was he ahead in the count and then got to 3-2? Guess what was coming? Instead of pounding the zone inside or high with FB it seemed all he did was slider, slider, change..
Guy has way too much talent to end up throwing 30 pitches to the bottom of the order and giving up runs.

Eovaldi has been a helluva lot better than below average this year, and the cutter he developed in Tampa has been a big addition for him.
Eovaldi's 2018 WHIP was 1.126. J.A. Happ's WHIP was 1.131, 7th best in the AL. Sevy was 10th in the AL with a 1.145.
Eovaldi's ERA+ was 112, right between J.A. Happ at 117 and Dallas Keuchel at 108. Strike Out / Walks for Eovaldi was an ass-kicking 5.05, which would have been Top 5 right between Carlos Carrasco and Sevy if he had enough innings to qualify.
Eovaldi only pitched 111 innings this year after coming back in surgery at the end of May. When he's been on the mound, he's been pretty close to being a right handed J.A. Happ this year.
Houston is going to kick the crap out of whoever advances in this series anyway. If you think the Yankees can’t hit Eovaldi, just wait for Verlander and Cole.
Know someone looking to move two tickets for tonight Â
Houston is going to kick the crap out of whoever advances in this series anyway. If you think the Yankees can’t hit Eovaldi, just wait for Verlander and Cole.
Without question, Houston is the best team, and it will take a Herculean effort to beat them. The ALDS sweep allows them to set up their starting pitching for maximum dominance, too. Bregman making the leap from good to great player has taken that whole team to another level.
For the Yanks, in spite of the ass whooping they took, it only counts as one loss.
The game starts at 0-0 tonight.
As for MLB, I think last night they won the case Angel Hernandez has brought against them. If that wasn't evidence enough of his incompetence, I'm not sure what is.
I read something this morning about the overturn rate on replay for MLB umps being around 47%. Hernandez has an overturn rate of in the mid 70's.
Hopefully tonight's starter knows when the game begins Â
and the outfielders are all wear cleats instead of slippers.
I'm probably in the minority but I think the warmup thing is blown way out of proportion. It's not like Sevy got lit up in the 1st inning.
Plus he did get to warm up in the pen so it's not like he came in cold. I mean what were they going to do to him for not being on the mound on time? He got his warm ups in.
If anything it probably pissed the Sox off but I honestly don't think it had an effect on his shitty outing. We've seen him pitch like this several times in the 2nd half of the season.
but it was just a bad look for the team and the coaching staff in particular. They can downplay it, but he clearly got a late start. Not sure I've seen outfielders changing cleats in the dugout after the first inning either. Just felt like the Yankees were unprepared last night. I think they'll bounce back tonight.
but pitchers still have to make pitches. The Red Sox were all over everything last night and our offense was completely shut down.
Last night was not a great match-up for the Yankees. From Fangraphs:

High velocity was on order via the night’s starting pitching matchup, which pitted the two AL starters with the fastest average fastballs in Severino (97.9 mph, per Pitch Info) and Nathan Eovaldi (97.5). Both had fared well against the other team this year (Severino 3.56 ERA and 2.53 FIP in 30.1 innings, Eovaldi 1.93 ERA and 2.82 FIP in 23.1 innings), but the truth is that the Red Sox came in well set up to counter Severino. Via Statcast, they owned the majors’ highest xwOBA, second-highest batting average, third-highest slugging percentage, and fourth-highest wOBA against fastballs from righties of 96 mph or higher. The Yankees, meanwhile, placed anywhere from 10th to 17th by those measures:
but it was just a bad look for the team and the coaching staff in particular. They can downplay it, but he clearly got a late start. Not sure I've seen outfielders changing cleats in the dugout after the first inning either. Just felt like the Yankees were unprepared last night. I think they'll bounce back tonight.
Cleats had nothing to do with anything. The ground may have been dry in warmups and turned slick in the mist. Clearly Gardy ran down everything in the 1st inning. Changing footwear happens in every sport. Players wear shorter cleats or nubbies to keep from tripping or catching cleats in the grass.
Severino showing up late for warmups is another story. Probably expected an 8:05 start. Even I thought it was weird to start at 7:35. But that is on the coaches, yes.
I am continuing my superstition of wearing my weathered "2009 Inaugural Season" Yankees fitted for all HOME games they play. I started it during the WC game and am going to continue to rock this one for home games only. I rock it backwards so the patch is on display. Figured a little WS champion juju might connect.
Let's go Yan-kees!
Not to be a dick, but Im pretty sure winning these two games at home and ending the series altogether would also be ideal. Lol
Have they announced it's Sale in game 5 and not 4 yet?

and avoiding Game 5 vs Sale in Boston would be ideal.

Sale could go in game 4 but he'd be going on short rest.

I believe the Sox came out today saying they won’t start him Game 4
That would be my thought if I were Boston. But maybe they put price back in for game 5 :)
What’s Porcello’s ERA vs. Yankees? Think he’s been pretty good against us as of late.
I do not think the drop off, except for power and the arm is that great. Still think Gardner is a better outfielder. He doesn't have Hick canon, but he is damn accurate.
Did I mention that I hate Boston?
I am too. Eovaldi has looked good. But we can take pitches to make him try and get that cutter over and sit fastball until we get to the pen.
Let's go boys! Got the '09 Inaugural fitted on to put that mojo out there in the universe.
Let's F**king go YANKEES!
Not me. I felt the opposite.
To me it was like this is my house and I'll do as I want in it. Definitely felt like a bit of good gamesmanship making the Sox wait for him. Power move IMO.
Smoked. Sevvy missed badly there based on Sanchez' spot.
Just get thru this inning and I think he settles in.
It is better than the last game.
Agreed. I don't have a problem with his pitch selection on those pitches, just the location. Make them look hittable and not easy to lay off.
If Sevy doesn't glove it
he will be out by 4th
yea, not sure if was fatigue or what, but he hasnt been the same
Yeah I just meant the natural reaction to try and make a play when Torres would have had it. It happens, just terrible timing for it.
One run is fine. But another batter or two of this shit by 40 and I am officially concerned.

Happ? Green?

No way they go Happ.
If it is still close its probably Green. We are so deep we can use anybody really.
Only definite is if Sev gets clobbered, we see Lynn.
Short rest? No, I still think they go Happ.
Because he called Joe Torre a racist. Fuck him.
Sure he could but they almost always give them the sac if they get the runner over. Especially at home.
he literally sees no fucking pitches. i hate guys like that. Bostons weakness is their fucking pen, you wanna let evoldi throw a few jesus. first pitch, weak ass ground ball.
literally just said to my father, shit is old gary back haha
Absolutely. It is supposed to be based on the batters intent. In the old days that was likely a FC and not a SAC because Didi was trying for a hit.
Its true. And fuck if its early.
should have went after verlander or cole.
they dont have a true ace
Keep in mind the outfield grass is slick. Might be why

Im not doing this with you tonight fatso.

Could be. With no outs the throw should’ve been made to second base to boot.

WTF...it a feakin ball game.
Maybe use Chad Green as a long man here?
lets keep it at 3 now and chip away. try and squeeze one more out of sevy.
Lets move on. Get some runs and try and salvage this one with the pen.
True. He hit a ground ball to 2nd that Severino instinctively tried to field and fucked up an easy out.
Let’s make some shit happen here.
Thats all that needs to happen. It doesnt even have to be THIS inning. I am very confident that Lynn will at least locate some pitches and hes past the meat of the order.
Maybe we can stop swinging at that chin high fastball that we cant seem to resist?
look at my comment right before yours lol

Lots of turds squeezing their way out of the woodwork during the playoffs.
Fuckin half-fans who only appear in game threads to bitch and moan in the 3rd inning of a playoff game.
Get the fuck. Outta here.
Omg relax
OK. Goodnight. See ya later. Have a great night. Bye.
Awesome approach
And he’s gonna’ be behind the plate tomorrow night.
Do we? Lance fucking Lynn is coming in with the bases loaded and nobody out. Great perception of the situation.
Only chance is for Lynn to limit them to a run or two at the most. Long way to go still.
That's assuming the bats wake up against Boston pitching.
Now Betts can effectively end this shit with one swing.
Severino needed to come out like 5 batters ago.

I dont see that happening against Porcello. THIS is the game to win. Right now, Porcello against our lineup has career type games.

Walk on three pitches? Hahaha.
They're stretching for "Y.M.C.A."
I agree. It should've been batter to batter this inning and as soon as Holt led off with the hit, he should've been pulled.
Not over yet.
Amirite???
make that the 4
But we got them right where we want them.
we had bases loaded NO outs....

exactly. we cant talk critically about a team that has the serious flaw of no starting pitching or the fact they are feast or famine or the fact that the sox actually do manufacture runs and we cant. i mean just look at the base loaded situations. they get hits, they get 2 strike hitting, they get 2 out hitting. we K or hit homers

No but when one person is obviously and always being a dick, recognizing that and maybe pointing that out to them would help diffuse the situation.
Btw, that fight was btwn B and Joey. I stepped in and told Joey that was not how I remembered him and we had a brief back n forth.
But whatever fits.
Here's a question - if you don't want anyone challenging your knee-jerk hottest of hot takz, why be on a board at all? Anyone disagrees with you and you act like a 2 year old whose binky was taken away.

Curious if you were clapping when Didi was called safe on the bunt? I know I was, and I'm not gonna second guess him or Miggy there.
Miggy's a rookie and playing in his first playoffs. Eovaldi has been throwing strikes and he went after a pitch he liked.
A guy doesn't pitch to a under 2 ERA in the first half, and then completely shit the bed in the 2nd half.
Our approach is close eyes and swing.
I know we don’t have any open positions, but I’d like a couple of all-around contact hitters like Benintendi on this team.

also, hated the approach early on. Didi bunting and Andujar swinging st the first pitch during the second inning. The gameplan, forst last and always against his Red Sox team should be getting into the bullpen.

brother, not shitting on anyone. of course I would've liked to see Didi safe - just saying that these guys should be going to the plate looking for prolonged at-bats.
We could have paid him multiples of that to just stay home. Or get injured 6 more times.
What's annoying is he got better after he left us, after other organizations got him to develop different weapons. Type of thing Old Man Rothschild should be doing.
Anyways, since Boston is full of cheaters, I am sure they have countless hours of videos of Sevy’s windup and at least good educated guesses of what’s coming. The Yanks should look into that. Judging by the numbers of fastballs we take down the middle, I am sure we don’t have such a program. Get the fuck out of here with Martinez’s toy box and relaxation technique, just code words for cheating.

also, hated the approach early on.
Eovaldi has been throwing strikes and he went after a pitch he liked.
brother, not shitting on anyone. of course I would've liked to see Didi safe - just saying that these guys should be going to the plate looking for prolonged at-bats.
Well done, assholes.
But nothing to be done about it now. Gotta win a game tomorrow. Just get it done.
Regardless, what the fuck is going on when the starting pitcher isn't Fucking ready?
I'm sure Boone will have it answered and all clocked for tomorrow. Sorry, but he sucks.
So unbelievably disappointing.
1 - Severino just seems to labor, can't finish guys off. Like others said, seems like a decent possibility of pitch tipping
2 - The rookies having just miserable ABs.
3 - Boone showing how not to manage the arms.
FUCK. Now the season sits on CC, find a way.
This is exactly what happened. From the very first batter, Sevvy was not hitting his spots. Not even close to ace material at this point.
Bingo, the tipping pitches thing has been mentioned here for months and it’s simply not the reason he’s struggling. It’s an excuse.
Not sure if I agree with this take. Sox have an ace and we could have easily won game one. Last year we beat the Indians with Kluber. Yanks have a lot going for them. Sure it would be nice to have an ace too. But many ways to win.
I’m betting on a game 5.

Yeah. Boone sucks so much. He’s totally the reason the Yankees scored 1 run and lost game 3.
Get a fucking grip.

Wow. glad I didnt waste one second watching.
Loser Giants, Loser Yankees. I am better than this.
Shouldn't you and daddy be plotting your next caper to rob senior citizens of their life savings?
Simo trash.
Whatever you guys need to feel better about your night.
I'm not the one who wasted my last two days watching the Giants and the Yankees.
...but hey! How many games did the Sawx win this year, coasting the last 3 weeks of the season?
And didn't they beat up on the Yanks?
And weren't some of their wins double-digit?
But 16 to 1in a crucial playoff game at home?
Two Touchdowns and a Safety?
Maybe the Giants should run a few of their plays.

You just wasted them trolling about them on a message board. Way to go champ!
Then, what's wrong with Sevy? I've been asking that question since BEFORE the All-Star Break. Is it simply location? Pitch selection? Something else?

the Yankees would have caught on and fixed it.

Sevy's secondary pitches are not being thrown for strikes. He wasted pitches left and right when ahead in the count and was especially bad against the bottom of the order not attacking batters, ala Sonny Gray.
No. Don't pay any attention to Mets game threads. Sorry.

Last night he was 95-96mph with his fastball, flat and up in the zone. They were pounding those. Sox are full of disciplined hitters and not biting on his sliders and changes.
Interesting. Does he need to develop some sort of off-speed pitch -- that he can throw for strikes -- to give hitters something to think about?
Damn right we are!
LOL
Last night was not a great match-up for the Yankees. From Fangraphs:
https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/boone-fiddles-while-the-bronx-burns/ - ( New Window )
But that is on the coaches, yes.
...from last night's f-ing humiliation:
