I tell you what - I had that thought earlier in the second inning. When Devers was on second, they flashed to JBJ on the top step of the dugout (I believe he was talking to Betts). They we both watching intently, and JBJ said clear as day “it’s a fastball it’s a fastball”.
It didn’t look like he was relaying the info to anyone, more just like they all might be picking something up.
Then again, Sevy throws the fastball a lot. So who knows.
Losing this game would at least accomplish something worthwhile.
