before they stormed back on us. This series ain't over.
i never said series was over...but we had momentum, this would have been a huge win but sox came out ready and we didnt

You're a Fucking clown. Go away.
well we HAVE to beat him again to advance so....what does it matter? we made evoldi look like nolan ryan. porcello will shit on us too
In the middle of your childish diatribe you said "tomorrow" and "Sale".

also, hated the approach early on. Didi bunting and Andujar swinging st the first pitch during the second inning. The gameplan, forst last and always against his Red Sox team should be getting into the bullpen.

Curious if you were clapping when Didi was called safe on the bunt? I know I was, and I'm not gonna second guess him or Miggy there.
Miggy's a rookie and playing in his first playoffs. Eovaldi has been throwing strikes and he went after a pitch he liked.
offspeed stuff, but Sevy’s fastball was flat and up in the zone. They put the bat on it and got hits. Chest high 96mph fastballs are batting practice for the Sox.
Our approach is close eyes and swing.
I know we don’t have any open positions, but I’d like a couple of all-around contact hitters like Benintendi on this team.

100%
we have nobody outside of a couple we actually can hit for avg. too many homer or nothing guys.
Eovaldi owns us, it might be less infuriating losing 10-1 than Â
Because as soon as I saw that Boston put Eovaldi in the lineup, I sorta knew this was not going to be good. It’s that revenge factor, and I think Cora banked on that! The fact he’s been pitching somehow amazing against the Yanks is interesting. Cora is an interesting cat, it almost looks like he took a gamble here and it paid off well for him. Cora > Boone. It is what it is.

Well no, he had to push Porcello out because he unexpectedly pitched the other day. But he did tweak their lineup so I’ll give him that.

brother, not shitting on anyone. of course I would've liked to see Didi safe - just saying that these guys should be going to the plate looking for prolonged at-bats. I understand that is certainly not necessarily the first-instinct for hitter like Didi and Andujar. I don't know the numbers, but it seems that Didi has drifted back towards more of his impatient tendencies as the season has gone on - he certainly started the year on a ridiculous tear, along with what appeared to be a more considered approach.
has killed us. Obviously hard to see this coming but he's getting paid $2M this year.
We could have paid him multiples of that to just stay home. Or get injured 6 more times.
What's annoying is he got better after he left us, after other organizations got him to develop different weapons. Type of thing Old Man Rothschild should be doing.
Rothschild is not good, l don’t care what anybody says. This came up Â
early in the season and everybody had a meltdown at that notion.
Anyways, since Boston is full of cheaters, I am sure they have countless hours of videos of Sevy’s windup and at least good educated guesses of what’s coming. The Yanks should look into that. Judging by the numbers of fastballs we take down the middle, I am sure we don’t have such a program. Get the fuck out of here with Martinez’s toy box and relaxation technique, just code words for cheating.

Gotcha wigs. I didn't mean any offense or to sound like a smart ass or anything. I was just curious if your Didi point was a first guess or second.
There's been a lot of second guessing on these threads, and while I wasnt calling for a bunt there, I was pretty happy when he was initially called safe and thought it was ok to try and get something going.
I don’t know what the fuck just happened. I don’t know why Sevy didn’t seem to know the start time of the game, I don’t know why they were seemingly on every pitch of his, I don’t know why Boone was so slow with the hook, I don’t know why Lynn is the first guy out of the pen with the game in reach. I certainly don’t know why Nathan Eolvaldi is now unhittable
But nothing to be done about it now. Gotta win a game tomorrow. Just get it done.
He has the pedigree for it. Would have liked our chances to go up 2-1 more with him and then be able to waste a game tmw if need be. Now that our backs are against the wall, how do we all feel about CC and our odds tomorrow night? Hopefully a similar type of performance we saw when our backs were up against the wall several times last October.
is he's not even that great, below average at best. Thing is he has been owning the Yanks, almost like he has something to prove still? Bottom line is the Yankees don't have a true Ace in this team, without great pitching its very hard to win games in the Playoffs. It's another level come playoffs in baseball..

Not sure if I agree with this take. Sox have an ace and we could have easily won game one. Last year we beat the Indians with Kluber. Yanks have a lot going for them. Sure it would be nice to have an ace too. But many ways to win.
Now the Yanks have a put up or shut up game tomorrow. How this could be a surprise to anyone is confusing. When has a series between these two teams ever not been stressful as fuck and dramatic in the playoffs?
I think they gave the last one to him just to save face.

baby steps
Never mind: Giants are still 1-4.
yea watching. brees just broke the record on a 60+ yard TD. giants win thursday shit gets pretty interesting
Reminds me of the Pineda games when he would lay big fat Fucking eggs against this team.

A guy doesn't pitch to a under 2 ERA in the first half, and then completely shit the bed in the 2nd half.
Our approach is close eyes and swing.

I seem to remember we can’t hit Porcello’s junk either. Ugh.

Regardless, what the fuck is going on when the starting pitcher isn't Fucking ready?
I'm sure Boone will have it answered and all clocked for tomorrow. Sorry, but he sucks.
So unbelievably disappointing.
1 - Severino just seems to labor, can't finish guys off. Like others said, seems like a decent possibility of pitch tipping
2 - The rookies having just miserable ABs.
3 - Boone showing how not to manage the arms.
FUCK. Now the season sits on CC, find a way.
This is exactly what happened. From the very first batter, Sevvy was not hitting his spots. Not even close to ace material at this point.
Bingo, the tipping pitches thing has been mentioned here for months and it’s simply not the reason he’s struggling. It’s an excuse.

I’m betting on a game 5.
