I guess so, but no backup C then. Vonleh and Kornet are not up to that task.

This is the right move. Robinson didn't play last season so getting minutes in the GLeague will be far better for his development than sitting at the end of the Knicks bench.
Noah
TyreeHelmet : 10/10/2018 2:20 pm : link
Any chance they play him and let him be the backup C? They are already paying him a ton and they will be minutes available. It's probably past the point of no return but it actually makes sense. You can then stretch him in the offseason only if needed.

Where else is the guy going to get minutes?

Bondy claims he's being waived by the end of the week

why cant he do both? he will probably practice with g league when knicks are off and they are home...

dude did notnplay basketball for a year, the more playing time he can get the better
Montreal

looking to land an expansion team or a team that moves.
I think Vonleh looked fantastic and
Svengali : 10/10/2018 2:50 pm : link
could easily be the backup center/power froward. I was impressed with him in the preseason games I watched.
without KP we may have the worst
Enzo : 10/10/2018 2:55 pm : link
frontcout in the league, and that's coming from someone who sorta likes Kanter - or at least appreciates what he does well out there. If they somehow manage to trade Kanter they're going to struggle to beat even bad teams. Let the tank begin...

And the whole Noah situation is beyond annoying at this point.

Are there any teams in danger of moving? I can't think of any offhand. Would think Memphis and New Orleans maybe, but havn't heard any smoke from either location.

Seems like NBA is ripe for expansion. Franchise values at an all-time high and owners likely want to cash in.

Kings, as always. Maybe the Clippers. But Seattle should get a team before Montreal does.
Jimmy Butler continues to be a problem for the Wolves

Come on. Courtney Lee and THJ for Butler and Dieng.

I like Vonleh at PF, not so much at C. It's not really his position and he's not that tall.

I have not but now Seattle and Montreal are now on record as looking to add one.

All-Star Jimmy Butler participated in Minnesota's practice, a session that included him verbally challenging teammates, coaches and front office, league sources told ESPN. Butler was vociferous and emotional at times, targeting Thibodeau/Layden/Towns/Wiggins. Story soon on ESPN.

At one point in a scrimmage, sources said, Butler turned to GM Scott Layden and screamed, "You (bleeping) need me. You can't win without me." Butler left teammates and coaches largely speechless. He dominated the gym in every way. Jimmy's back.

If that's the plan, that works for me.
Butler cussed out Scott Layden?

Sounds like he'll fit in just fine in New York

Absolutely they can do both. They can let him go down and get more minuets with the g-league team as needed but that doesn't mean he can't suit up for the Knicks as well where he would likely be used more sparingly early on.

And I hope Im wrong but I think Hezonja will be an after thought this time next year. hes got a weird persona to me. Like hes trying way too hard. Even his interviews are weird.

As with Mudiay, it's a little hard to see what people saw at the time of the draft to make him a lottery pick.
