Was just watching the 1st quarter of the Panther game again and saw something which I found alarming. With about 6 minutes to go in the 1st quarter the Panthers ran a reverse to Samuels. Apple's effort on that play was just pathetic. He could have possibly stopped the play for little or no gain. He gave no real effort to get involved in the play. His coverage this year, when he has played, has been a bit better but IMO, this guy in time is going to go the same route as #74.
I'm not sure what the general consensus has been on Jenkins in that category but I've seen some pretty pathetic attempts in order to avoid contact.
Some of the plays Collins didn't make, does make you wonder about offering him a huge contract....
Apple was dealing with an injury - could it be that he aggravated it sometime during the game? I haven't rewatched the whole thing, but he didn't stand out as bad to me. Guys are going to have a bad play here or there.

Collins entered the horrible tackling category last week.
No, it was to DJ Moore and he totally bailed on a tackle attempt.
not so much...
I don't think he is a perfect player, but he still can improve and I think is trending up not down.
trouble tackling we need a FS that can cover ground
and hit .Thompson was such a bust ...
If we’re talking about the reverse where the four Giants didn’t wrap up, the first guy there was Jenkins.
