That being said, the complaint on Eli has been that he isn't throwing downfield if the play isn't necessarily there. You can't then complaint when he throws into a tight window in the middle of the field.
outside of 2011, Eli has always had a bit of Jekyll and Hyde act, and you're lying to yourself if you can't bring yourself to at least admit that.
this now is just bad and the excuses are just not there. that throw, like many others the first 1.5 months, is absolutely inexcusable. now 2 min in, with the season on the line, already in a 7-0 hole.
Benched for who? Lauletta is not going to start 6 games into his career. Especially as a 4th rounder.
The team sucks. Two really good players in OBJ and Barkley but the team on the whole is a train wreck. Benching Eli isn't going to help anything. Probably wouldn't hurt anything either but it wouldnt make any type of difference.

The Giants offensive line is horrid, but Eli also makes them look even worse with his inability to move at all
