get rid of guys for the sole reason to get better - we got rid of guys who were poor characters, bad locker room guys and were cuttable knowing we would have an opportunity next year to clear some of the dead money out.

is like turning around an aircraft carrier. It's not going to happen as quickly as we'd like. This was a very good draft (TBD of course but Barkley is Barkley, Hernandez, Carter, BJ Hill all look promising). We had/have a lot of holes and that can't be completely fixed in one off season

Preach! I actually would not have made the same moves, but I get it. It seemed some of the roster moves was heavily influenced by them not being DG's draft picks.

He walked in talking about smash mouth football the old Giants way. Then they hired as a coach a guy who has similar people in his background as McAdoo and runs an entirely different style to what Gettleman was talking about. I don't get the impression there is a plan in place here.

And the tes tot the team looks terrible.

We changed both coordinators and cut a lot of guys, and had several terrible drafts, one after the other in our rear view.
I didn't expect a great year this year. Our draft is looking good so far.
Shurmer needs time to change the culture and get the team going in the right direction.
