tonight or the Saints game.
It's been confirmed by Shurmer that he went in for IVs due to cramping.
But please don't let this fact get in the way of the narrative
I think you just really want this to be true. He was late coming out too, he got an IV. Why would they lie? There was 2 seconds and the ball on our 25, wtf were we even running a screen there??
Halftime is 20 minutes long, a slight headstart on the IV line can only help to be available by the 3rd quarter & with seconds left with the ball at the 25....
I don't see anything nefarious with that
lie. In college a ton of us would head to the locker room with minimal time on the clock. You get very little actual time, it has to be a lot less in the NFL.
RE: Pathetic from Shurmur and from the front office Â

The giants are saying its unacceptable.
Ex-players are saying it’s unacceptable.
Everyone in the country is saying it’s unacceptable.
But BBI thinks it’s ok for a guy to call out the heart of his teammates and challenging the job of his head coach and QB publicly yet walks off the field before halftime and is putting a show in the sideline.....
If you can’t separate those- which you clearly can’t - then that is your issue
The call out was last weeks discussion- where the team did actually show a pulse— even if misguided—- people can have different opinions about giants leadership issues-
The “walk out” is your fake news to run with a narrative

The only fake news is him getting an IV. I also have a bridge to sell you as well.

Umm no you’re clueless. They just fined this guy and you think they are gonna protect him? F outta here
Also we have posters who shit on ESPN for click bait but then focus on the same click bait type questions/nonstories that schurmur got in his presser
Team gets crushed and they ask about an IV- like they are investigating a crime
Isn’t it about culture though? When your best player openly admits he doesn’t want to be in NY, calls out his teammates, then leaves a game early because he isn’t getting the ball...
before halftime for legitimate reasons, then you also have to believe that none of the coaches cared enough to discipline him on the spot (he was on the field and was targeted on the Giants first play on offense after the half). And you would also have to believe that Pat Shurmur was willing to lie in front of the media about why Beckham left at the risk that the truth could have been spilled out by probably a number of other people who could confirm whether or not Odell did in fact get a IV. If Shurmur got caught trying to cover up for a player's misdeeds he would be skewered in the media and possibly put this job as head coach in jeopardy.
....just seems like a lot less mental gymnastics is needed to understand what happen if you just take what the two people say at face value, no?

What coach has disciplined Beckham before? Coughlin didn’t when he purposely speared Norman in the chin when he wasn’t looking.
that he did or didn't get the IV, but I think questioning it is certainly fair. Its not like walking off or any other tantrum like behavior is out of character for OBJ. And, if he is so frequently dehydrated then that speaks to other issues so not exactly the best sign either.
He still has quite a bit of growing to do as a person and certainly if he wants to be a true leader. We have 5+ years to hopefully watch that happen. Wish there was a veteran like Larry Fitzgerald on this team to show him the way, but there isn't. Buckle up, this is going to happen all year...

BBI for years put down guys like Moss, Owens, Dez, etc for their antics and selfish ways.
People... he’s right there with him. An incredible talent but a cancer. Look at Sterling Shepard of the last few weeks. It’s rubbing off on other players. I guess it’s coincidental that OBJ plays the good sport all offseason and training camp but as soon as he gets paid....
Showing up QB on the field, calling out players and coaches, leaving the game early...

Shurmur hit Beckham with a fine literally just a day ago.

I rarely agree with you, but you’re 100% right. This guy is a cancer. Let’s hope our future qb of the future never has any growing pains cause this asshole will throw him under the bus or smash his head against an AC
You can question the timing of it, but him getting in early gives him a chance to get the IV going and finished as halftime ends. If he waits the extra minute and gets to the room with all the other players, he'd be out into the 3rd quarter even longer.
You don't have to believe me, but he got the IV. I agree, it is a bad look, but there isn't some conspiracy here.
now we know he didn't walk off the field. Why are people still giving OBJ so much crap? Because he was screaming on the sidelines and is beyond frustrated that he's on a dogsh*t team? Everyone was wrong, he did not walk off the field.
There really isn't much time for a player to do anything at all by the time they reach the locker room. If you need some kind of treatment then every minute that can be spared is important.
Both the coach and OBJ confirmed it.. seriously get this bs shit out of here..
Have you any proof it wasn't? You're just speculating without evidence.
If you don’t, you’re a fool. Why would the team protect him AFTER fining him?!

Shut up, ridiculous. This team blows he can’t get the ball because the OL blows! Your going to go after him because he wants to make plays? Okay

Stop protecting the loser.

He sure seems to get dehydrated a lot when he isn’t getting the ball.
And yes the nets have a good culture- the giants don’t- they coddled a bad qb 4 years too long and a diva wr 2 years too long

Oh no! A couple thousand dollar fine to a player who just 60 plus guaranteed? It really slowed him down yesterday...

If he would have ran the ONE play, then jogged into the locker room, he would have been there just as quick as he was by WALKING in early.
Again, he missed an offensive play to get a head start when they didn’t get the ball first in the second half...
