These red-zone failures are painful given the only options are crossing patterns with 13/87 and dump offs to 26 and pray.
Granted, we're missing EE but this team needs a play-maker 6'4" ish with some wingspan ala Jeffries.
Obviously, the main focus should be on both lines and the secondary, outside of the QB position, but somewhere in next years draft or free agency, this team needs someone who they can jump ball in the end-zone or rely or FG's.
With all these Div 1 teams, there has to be somebody out there that can fill that role in the 4/5th round. Not asking him to be the focal point of the O but would be worth his weight in gold if he was able to give this team something they so drastically need- size to offset the quickness of OBJ/SS/EE.
...exactly.
And that's one of the reasons why I believe they never re-sign Sheppard.
...to wide-out.
our issue is at qb.
our issue is at qb.
Brady would fail behind this line.
Barkley and OBJ are literally the only reasons to watch this team

no tall wideouts and a superbowl appearance every year.

Brady gets rid of the ball in under 2 seconds ... so no he would be fine. But lots of non first ballot Hall of Famers would fail behind this line. Agree generally without the embellishment
I think a "when he's covered he's open" receiveris more critical, as the team is currently constituted with a pocket passer QB. But I think we will be moving on from Eli.
I blame Mara-Tisch, I think our bizarre ownership setup is akin to Generals Paullus and Varo fighting Hannibal at Cannae, one general take command one day, another the next day, back to the other next day...
Scheme doesn't need height. ELI NEEDS height, other QB's do not.
Eli is gone in 10 more games.
our issue is at qb.
Rob Gronkowski 6'6". Different team without him.

People need to re-watch the first TD pass by Wentz last night. There is no way Eli makes that throw...no way.

Would that we engaged in that sort of organizational self-assessment and logical acquisition of resources. Instead, we went out and tried to find a system and fit the inventory of players into it. While like Las Vegas, it's good to have a system because when you bust, you still have your system.
There is a reason he wins every year with whomever they
have at WR .
The Giants do need some size but Ellison Engram are injured
They do not go to Latimer near enough .
Engram is a nice piece but they need Ellison and another
TE similar to him . Engram is not a blocker .
We constantly settle for FG's need a big reliable target
for third downs we are the worst in the NFL and the red zone.

They've gone on numerous super bowl runs without Gronk

Nonsense. Look the Pats are a very logically run organization. Brady was never terribly mobile. So, if you are going to play o-line for the Pats, your #1 talent must be pass blocking. They will worry about run blocking later. If you can't pass block then you won't be on the team. Same with receivers: they have an accurate passer. If you aren't a good route runner, you will not play. Period. It doesn't matter how tall or fast or handsome you are, you aren't playing and they will get rid of you.

Eli is not Brady. That's not a knock on Eli. Brady is GOAT. I'm a little dumb founded this is even still debated by anyone
