Number of recent former OL starting for other teams

Jesse B : 10/12/2018 2:40 pm
With the signing of Flowers (who might start due to injuries) I was just wondering if anyone knows how many OL the giants have recently jettisoned are starting elsewhere?

I know Brett jones, Pugh, richburg, fluker, hart are all starting elsewhere. Are there any I'm missing ?
Isnt that enough ?

Seems like a substantial amount.

and how are they performing?

I know Pugh, Richburg, and Hart were all sucking. Jones is back to the bench for Minny now that their starter is back

Fluker might be the one guy who's doing ok.
The league is desperate for O-linemen.

Guys merely making a roster isn't a measure of anything.

I would say the fact the Bengals thus far have a balanced offensive attack with Hart at RT puts NYG in the worst light. Pugh and Richburg were/are displaying the same shortcomings they did in NY. Fluker and Omameh are more or less a wash.
Hart sucks now, but the Bengals still score a lot of points with

him out there. Meanwhile, the Giants' offense would grind to a halt when exposed to his lethal combination of suck and penalties. I just don't get it.

I wanted to keep Fluker for his run blocking...Darkwa did well after he was inserted. Barkley...?

All QBs make plays outside the system its required. The DL are better than the OL Ours no longer does.

In watching the Bengals (with Hart at RT), one thing that stands out is how in rhythm their offense is. Dalton will run around once in a while, but mostly the ball is coming out of his hand after 3 or 5 steps. And when they run the ball, it's quick and downhill. I wonder if that limits the amount of time a lineman has to do his job/his exposure.

Same. Fluker was solid last year. Pancake maker.

Maybe he wasn't the only problem with the Giants team
Apparently

Bobby Hart has played OK the last couple of games.

Not saying we shouldn't have done what we did.
Was our

interior line play THAT bad by the end of last season?

Or was it bad but teams decided to attacked our (even worse) tackles instead?

Minnesota traded for Jones because their starter was going to miss the first few weeks and their backup went on IR. Jones started the first 3 games out of necessity, and is right back to the bench now that Elflein is back
Newhouse is with the panthers

I really liked Fluker

He could really move the pile

He was improving as a Guard and as a pro.

incredible talent coming out of NCAA now. They should change the rules to allow the oline to trip defenders because they are so quick they can't block them. lol

more seriously, when you watch our guys get beat it does look like a quickness issue that negates the hog mollie espoused by that relic Gettleman.
