Immobile gets thrown around far too often or inaccuratley, in my opinion. He is depicted as a statue, which has never been the case. He always had a pretty good ability to feel the rush and avoid a number of sacks and even hits. IT is a big reason he started so many consecutive games. Even this year, they have been moving the pocket a decent amount and he seems to be moving well enough in doing so; he can move in the pocket and he can effectively roll. The X factor is that the D knows he is never going to take off and run. So, where another QB rolling right will freeze or draw a LB and/or DB, Eli does not. The coverage stays on their men or zones. There were at least 5 or 6 occasions Eli had rolled to the right, most by design, but 1 or 2 out of necessity, and there were just no open targets. Shepard especially was blanketed in those situations. On the flip side, Wentz rolled once and the D completely froze allowing a huge play downfield.
It's not that he can't move; it's that he is not going to run.
100% agree with this. He's shell shocked. Almost like he has PTSD.
3 coaches can't fix him, it is time to move on. Let's make this year the rebuilding year. Put in Lauletta and hope you drafting him early was the right move.
What an A Hole.
They know his OL is bad, they know he isn't a threat to run, they know the spot he will be at when he drops back, they know he is sloppy with the ball when pressured, they know he is looking at the rush, and they know he would rather throw it short these days.

He plays scared. And I don't blame him. Who wouldn't?

Is something he used to do but doesn’t do anymore. He used to have poise in the pocket and ability to shift around and avert pressure. He was fantastic about doing that in the 2011 run, but he doesn’t do that anymore. There is no pocket presence. It’s a huge problem and a big reason he doesn’t have it anymore.
The protection was fairly good early in the game. The Eagles really started to pound him when they went up three scores and could just pin their ears back and rush. That’s an impossible task for most olines against a front 7 that talented.
Eli is a multimillionaire he used to be a very good quarterback he was never great. He sucks now he absolutely sucks.

I have a suspicion that you are related to Eli in some way.
You don't have to know when someone is done, genius.
Despite me being involved in football for 40 years I enjoy the stupidity of
Blind fans
Perhaps you and all the Eli supporters can defend us not moving up 13 spots to draft mahomes ? We have a tight end who couldn’t block up piece of paper who’s on the injured list —/ who thought it good to grab his balls the first time he scored a touchdown. Does that make you proud?
Maybe you can teach me something about football but I don’t know yet.

They've only had the Madden game for around 27 years so this is a lie:
"I've been involved in football for 40 years"
It is because the offensive line is shitty and the defensive line cannot rush the passer.
Yes, Eli is on the downside of his career.
Yes, we should move on from him next year.
But, the reincarnation of John Elway doesn't make this shitfest a contending football team.
In Eli’s prime the primary criticism of him was that his short passes were thrown with too much velocity and were inaccurate, usually high or wide or the receiver. However, this was a benefit to him on intermediate and deep throws. Eli used to have a cannon for an arm; how many throws did he complete in the intermediate 15-25 yard range and the deep range (over 25 yards) on his back foot? I believe only Rodgers, out of all his contemporaries, threw better passes over 15 yards.
Eli still had his deep ball up to 2015, and largely played excellent until then. His long ball started to decline in 2016 even as we went 11-5. Now it’s difficult for him to get it there on anything down the field, even when protection holds up. I believe the poor protection not only messed up the clock in Eli’s head, but caused him to physically decline a couple of years before he should have
I think that's a bit of an oversell. It was a strength. He wasn't better at it than players like Drew Brees or Peyton or Brady.
Maybe under your other handle but this one has only been active for 4 short years. Take a hike Dupe
