Should be a real fun game

Georgia Tech and Northwestern

Oregon is a 3-point dog at home to a Wwashington team with a QB who we know is dodgy. Colorado is ranked but is a TD+ dog on the road at USC.

I think 10 points is way too much to be giving Wisconsin, even at the Big House.

There have been some big upsets in this rivalry. Also, Pittsburgh is a program that has had some massive upsets over the years over teams with championship aspirations. Miami was unbeaten on Thanksgiving Friday last year at Pitt beat them. The Clemson team that won it all in 2016 was beaten at home by Pitt in November,m a loss that at the time seemed devastating to the Tigers. In 2007, all West Virginia had to do was beat 4-7 Pitt in Morgantown and they were in the championship game. They lost.

That said, ND 27-17.

Ohio State goes undefeated
Notre Dame goes undefeated.

and it really isnt their fault. Their SOS can be a negative to them.

They really need to be huge Wolverine fans for the rest of the year because that may be the only team that is ranked at the end of the year they faced (Stanford will probably get there, Oregon really helped ND by blowing that game.)

Before the season started it looked like a tough schedule.

But some of those teams just never came together and played well. And if Michigan loses today, to MSU, PSU, and OSU. They wont be ranked either.

I wouldn’t bet your house on it. The committee has already said they will take the 4 best teams. If Bama loses a close exciting game in the SEC championship, I’ll put 100% chance that they are in.

They did miss a hold, but basically the same PI was called against Julian Love. He held down his left arm before the ball got there, same thing Love did.

Speaking of holding, last series on the ND screen the DE held the RB who was supposed to get the ball. That is holding isn't it? He wrapped him up. Tirico and Flutie saw it and thought it was a good play by the DE.

With everyone losing today, they would definitely be in. I said earlier in that thread that ND fans would be HUGE Michigan fans for the rest of thhe year. If MMichigan can win out, they are huge ND fans as well.

The only possible way, imo, that a power 5 school or ND gets left out of the playoff is if there are 5 undefeated teams. The chance of that happening are slim and none to begin with, and obviously can't happen this year.

In this game - outside the context of other games - their flaws were completely exposed. Didn't think Michigan could do it. That was bad.

Lewerke has not been great, but in fairness, several of MSUs top WRs are out. And the OL has been shuffling week to week with multiple injuries. Plus, MSU’s run game has been poor with LJ Scott out. All of which to say he’s not been as good as last yeas, but there are also some things going on around him.

They all have one conference loss. Wisconsin still has the inside track as they beat Iowa and play NW. Iowa has the easiest schedule left.

Maryland is mediocre at best - no passing game to speak of. Everything is based on playing teams that aren't as fast and ripping off big plays.

If I'm Rutgers and I refuse to bail on the Big 10, obviously I will beg Schiano to come back. When that fails, why not go the UNLV route and hire your top local coach instead of paying out the rear to get another "hot" assistant? At least the ROI will be better.

Alabama - win and they are in. One loss probably still get them in.
OSU - win and they are in. Only one tough game left.
Clemson - win and they are in.
ND - win and they are in.
Michigan - win out and they are most likely in.
Central Florida - needs to win out and get help.
LSU - winning out puts them in GREAT shape. Brutal schedule left.
Florida - Winning out puts them in GREAT shape as well. Tough schedule tho.

WVU, Texas, Oklahoma are all in the mix but they all play each other and most likely will eliminate themselves.

Thiis could be as easy as Bama, Clemson, and ND winning out and they are in and the 4th spot going between Michigan/OSU.

Not sure I agree with you on Maryland, except on their QB play being meh. Beating Texas is no small accomplishment.
