Any other really bad teams need a QB or just the Giants?

Youtoo : 10/13/2018 12:03 pm
If you look at the standings, they all seem to have their QB. Its possible the Raiders move on from Derek Carr. Tampa Bay may move on from Jameis Winston, but they are 2-2. So they would need a total collapse. Winston is pretty good. I think they would need a top pick to move on from him to guarantee they get the QB they want.

Also, if Haskins keeps playing this well he may come out this year. Ohio State QBs don't have a good track record, but this guy looks to be by far the best QB they ever had.
The good news

is that if Winston is let go he will go to another QB needy team canceling out the candidates who want a QB in the draft. We should all be hoping for Denver, Washington, Dallas, Miami, and Chargers to win 8-9 games this season to take them out of range.

Not a ton of competition for QB ar this moment

Washington has a stop gap. Buccaneers, Denver for sure, raiders possibly carr od regressing and new coach. Jaguars but they're not bad.

.... Teddy Bridgewater. He is a 2019 free agent and will be 26 when season starts. He had a great camp with Jets and is currently serving a nice apprenticeship with Drew Brees. One time Rookie of the year and former Pro Bowler and a good kid. Looks to have recovered from leg injury. Would allow Giants to focus on offensive line and defense in 2018 draft and not force a pick on a quarterback. Allows us to wait until 2020 draft to pick a young QB in what looks like a good draft at that position.

Knows Shurmer's system already. Could step right in and play and you wouldn't waste any prime years of Beckham/Barkley/Engram.

Giants management - you're welcome.

Bridgewater belongs to another team

And he never played a game under Shurmur.

Bridgwater is a free agent in 2019. Although he didn't play in a game because he was hurt, he was with the Vikes for two years while Shurmur was offensive coordinator. He know the system well

Raiders and Gruden moving on from Carr is the most likely imo.

They look awful and can get out of his contract relatively cheap after this season. I can easily see Gruden wanting to get his guy at QB

Fine by me, because Tua is better than any QB in this coming draft.
That long throw by Tua on 1st offensive play today

...looked like a frisbee. WR just ran under it. Amazing.
That kid looks like he has all the tools - and a great disposition. Would love to see him in blue.
