H.C. Sideline demeanor

thrunthrublue : 10/13/2018 1:11 pm
Remember coach parcells? Lots of fire, aggression...working the refs, correcting and encouraging/castigating all the players, all game long. The 2018 sideline is a quiet, surrendering place. Not one challenge flag yet....”oh well if they say mccafferty got the first down, they must be right...” no fire, no passion, no energy = no winning.
This coach is 10 and 28

on his way to even a worse record. What would you like him to get excited about?

about sideline demeanor. Gesturing and stomping around like a wild man does not necessarily make a difference in a team's performance.
He needs to get angry. Throw his headset. Break his ...

Plenty of great coaches had a calm demeanor. Bill Walsh, Joe Gibbs, Bill Belichick, Bud Grant ...
For hopefully the last time.

He couldn’t have challenged the McCafferey run even if he wanted to.

Final two minutes of the half, all challenges come from upstairs.
i've seen shurmur

fired up on the sideline more than a few times.. sure, he's not ranting and raving like a lunatic like coughlin did from 2004-2006, but he's not comatose either..
The only obvious sign I see about Shurmur

that I disagree with is that he seems to want to be loved by his players. They won't fear him which explains OBJ's stupid conduct.

Landry, Dungy and Tomlin

all pretty calm. I saw Shurmur chewing some ear the past couple games.....

Yeah, the guy that cut Flowers mid season and Webb...Shurmur does not appear to be a pussy.
Who cares about his coaching record?

The Browns like the Giants were a dumpster fire when he took them over. Remember Belicick got canned from the Browns.

reports intimated that shurmur was livid with OBJ over it. he addressed it in the lockerroom and fined him over it. let's hope the message is received and the player grows up.
