One yard away...

Tim in JTown : 10/13/2018 2:53 pm
Towards the end of the Eagles game, Buck mentioned that the Giants media relations department informed them that Barkley was close to becoming the first Giant ever to record 100 yards rushing and 10 yards receiving in a single game. In mop up work, I saw Gallman in there at the end of the game. Did the coaching staff not know about this? Barkley was one yard away.

"Saquon Barkley gained 130 yards rushing and 99 yards receiving, falling one yard short of becoming the first player in Giants history with 100-plus rushing yards and 100-plus receiving yards."

100 yards receiving
Do you really think a coach is in tune with that?

while trying to manage a game?

He'll get it

He will break every Giants RB record as he stated. Guy is made to play football.

I love his sideline talk...gets angry when we dont score on a drive and have to kick. Its all win mode for him
I'd guess he's still the only one....

to get 99 yards rushing and 99 yards receiving in a single game.
Because

at that point in the game, he catches a pass just for the record and blows out his knee and then everyone goes apeshit about him being out there when it was already over. No doubt he'll have plenty chances of breaking that record in his career..
Maybe because thats an inconsequential stat

That no one has even heard of before.

That one yard can make a difference in fantasy football!

I once didn't qualify for the playoffs (despite leading the league in scoring) in a fantasy league because I lost by 1 point (a tie is all I needed) because Terry Kirby had 99 yards rushing.
