Have been watching him today. I’m no scout but I like what I see. There seems to be something special about him. He’s pretty accurate , definitely has the arm strength and has a good feel in the pocket. 6’6, 230 pounds and looks to be a really good athlete. We’ll see what Sy’56 and the experts say!
Please start Tanney so that we get this guy. He will look awesome throwing the ball down to 13, 87 and 88
That’s 95% of college football
Baker did it.
Pretty much how the college game is played nowadays.
He’s going to need time to get adjusted to pro ball though.. everything is out of shotgun, 1 read, simple offensive system.
That’s bullshit. He’s made plenty of throws on secondary reads and moving around the pocket

Not a fan of QBs that play in spread offenses like that

It’s not bullshit. Watch the game. It’s not even debatable

I have watched the game. If you think he’s only completed throws or made plays on one read and throwing then I’d suggest that you are the one that needs to watch the damn game
Ahh breath in the air and drink a different type of kool-aid.
That’s not what I’ve been watching either. I’m not ready to call him the first pick in the draft yet, but he is in no way a one read QB.
But watching him with a little pressure in his face, is questionable. And with our offensive line...
Ahh breath in the air and drink a different type of kool-aid.
How’s the 4-19 kool aid with the current qb situation working for you? Good, you enjoying this?
I was skeptical of Herbert as well at first, but this guy can play.
Should be Giants just stay the current course??

Mahomes too

Someone saw a college QB and BBI has decided he is the next QB of the Giants. Not just that but he'll be a #1 pick so the Giants had best lose the rest of the season. And don't say anything negative or you'be attacked.

Just a remark on the fickle nature of BBI and how others should follow or take shit. Thanks for making my point.
The kid has a freak arm. Would like to see a little touch in some of his throws. Very accurate.
Interested in seeing Grier from WVA tonight. I really don’t care about height concerns as long as the head, athleticism, and arm check out.
As far as being concerned about spread offenses, we are just going to have to get over it. It’s already changing the NFL and Schurmur used tons of spread concepts in Minnesota last year.

I think Elway and any scouts there today were there for a twofor. Browning is pretty good too and is a four year starter. The knock on him was he doesn't have a rocket arm but his arm is plenty strong enough IMO.
I think both guys are Pros.

John Elway was scouting him today. I could see his horse teeth way up in the luxury box. He was salivating.

The Washington QB is a backup in the NFL imo

LMAO about Elways teeth

Nobody was there for Jake Browning
In 6 games he has a 63.4 completion %, 1613 yards, 17 TDs and 5 INTs. He also has 120 yards rushing and a rushing TD. Just beat the 7th ranked team in the nation. There's a reason the Giants have sent people to scout him in 4 games out of 6 this year.
Washington has a very good defense also.
The defense can actually never really make “the right read” on the read option. It’s on the offense too, and the defense can really only hope the offense makes the wrong one. That’s why it’s so dangerous inside the 10.
hahaha
He’s going to need time to get adjusted to pro ball though.. everything is out of shotgun, 1 read, simple offensive system.
Last year his coach stated that he hoped to see more leadership from Herbert. If the Giants take him I hope he developed in that department, because this crew of numbskulls needs some leadership.

Great, the fickle fans that actually watch college football and have a valid opinion should just stop discussing ways to improve the future giants roster. Let’s stay the course, seems to be working great, not Cleveland Browns like at all.
If you bothered to pay attention over the past year, there’s actually been a lot of good debate and discourse over prospective future Giants qbs. Should we simply stop discussing to please your wishes?

Which he will. He just turned 20 years old in March. He was 18 when he started his first college game.
For comparison Eli was older then when he started his 1st college game then Herbert is starting his 22nd college game. Herbert will get drafted & be around 26 months younger then Eli was when he got drafted.
Just shows how talented Herbert is. Starting at a very good school like Oregon as a teenager. Will most likely be finished playing there before he turns 21 years old. That's absurd.

And you know this how?
I'm not saying they were there because of him but they sure as heck were taking advantage of seeing him play today as all.
