Has the Giants picking 9th and taking a QB....the first one off the board:
Daniel Jones? This is also before his 3 TD performance today. Hes completing at a 70% clip.
How would this place react if they took him over Herbert? Lol
Armageddon on BBI - (

I don't think we are picking a an anyway
The Jones pick is kinda intriguing because of the Cutcliffe connect.

Giants will not beat Tennessee.. There defense will dominate us

Also. David Cutcliffe said he’s a better throw than both Eli AND Peyton.
I might take him off the draft board

With that attitude we wouldn’t have our amazing RB from Penn State.

I don't think you're aware of who went to Duke.
and,it's a joke
And the lack of competition they play. Not exactly upper tier teams.
#1 is a possibility with this team. I wonder what teams they expect us to beat?
Is there a generational transformative talent this yearr? I guess by definition, no.
Mock might be garbage, but Jones is showing up BIG TIME. Need to see more of him, but his numbers are there.

Trigger me. Dave Brown flashbacks.

They’re in the ACC. They play Va Tech, Miami, Clemson, all of whom are ranked (maybe not on Va Tech). It’s the ACC, not like it’s the AAC.
That's expected. He only has one sack on the year, I think, and he's somewhere in the range of 6'1, 270 lbs. That's awfully small for an IDL.
Shurmur runs, what is considered a power spread offense. Someone like Justin is a better fit scheme wise.
Daniel Jones is more of a traditional passer.
Lol the dumb on this site.

CBS Sports CFB has taken a huge nosedive since Brugler, Reuter and Rang left. Those guys were excellent. This new crop is absolutely atrocious.

Can't say I've seen him, but his stats last year make me nauseous. 14 TDs, 11 INTs, 56% comp. percentage. That's Josh Allen-esque.
With that attitude we wouldn’t have our amazing RB from Penn State.

20 picks ever ?
Why bother .. Sure ok to look at but not worth the conversation at this point . Never know with injuries ect .
When you have as many needs as we do you take BPA
Now if the QB you love is in striking distance then different story . I get the fact that we are pretty bad record wise but I not gonna sit here and think we wont win another 3-5 games ..
We have good shot at being top ten though .
The giants may be screwed for years and years now
Yet teams that pick them have found some good ones...

the QB class last year all having some warts. This QB class will have even more warts.

Yeah, Sam Darnold, Josh Allen, and Josh Rosen, will be the only great QBs to enter the NFL for the next 10 years. Even though all of them had their flaws and none were considered surefire franchise QBs like a Luck. And that QBs from this draft might end up having better NFL careers than them. Nope, they were the only great QBs. Even though none of them are actually great QBs.
I concur with that. I haven't seen this kid Jones play.
I will have to check him out.
No Barkley in this draft though.

I think you are talking about offensive tackles, and who exactly are you thinking of that were good ones we had a shot at?

from one positional player who was a bust drafted from a certain school and stereotype any other player who also plays that position at said school...but with Danielle Jones, even going back 25 years, the optics on this drafting a QB from Duke in the first round, a player without a whole lot of recognition, is just a bit tough for the older Giant fan to quantify.
Maybe not as much as you think. Phil Simms came into the 1979 draft as a QB without a whole lot of recognition. Of course that year wasn't seen as a deep QB class (although the 49ers struck gold in the 3rd round with Montana).
It's not really the lack of recognition that bothers me, just that Dave Brown was so incredibly bad, that taking another Duke QB in the first round makes me cringe. Obviously, makes no sense whatsoever, it's 25 years later, well respected coach,, etc...but just can't help it.
