He deserves his own thread, especially over the likes of that bum Will Grier. 33 for 44 412 yds and 3 tds. He not only padded his stats, but his lead on the Heisman Trophy race. Before today his stats were: 72 percent completion rate, 1919 yds and 25 tds. He's almost to the point the Heisman is his to lose. Give this man his due!! Yea he's only had "one year" starting but he's a legit top 3 QB and will contend for the no. 1 overall pick should he decide to come out. Let's discuss
Honestly, the more options there are at QB, the better for us. Looks like my football interest is going to be more on Saturdays than Sundays.

So you watched 1 game against a top ten 10 and he led them to victory. 22 for 39 270yds and 3 tds. Yea it wasn't pretty but if we want to make comparison, Justin Herbert went 10 for 21 against bowling green State u with 5 tds and 2 picks 281 tds and then went 16 for 34 against another bottom of the barrel team San Jose State U. Yea he played ok against Washington today, but that alone should give people pause.
Damn. Now my post appears. I typed a similar comment because I didn't think my previous post went through.
Why do you trust the new regime?

You're right. Most have fallen in love with Herbert. Haskins does have a more powerful, more accurate arm. I trust the new regime to select the best Qb come next year.

I was just gonna say...

Let me be specific. I trust them
When it comes to drafting. Thought they picked the best players available (Saquon, Hernandez, Carter) last year.

Haskins is nothing but a check down Passer who is as mobile as Eli.

They picked the best player of the 2018 draft. Picked the best linemen of the 2018 draft. Picked one of the best edge rushers in the 2018 draft. And then picked one of the better DL in the 2018 draft. And that was in the first three rounds. It will take another year or two to make up for Reese's picks and add talent. Am I suppose to trust all the experts on BBI? No thanks.

Only game I watched him play in was Penn St. He looked very off and kinda rattled in that game thru a little more than half of it. I seem to remember PSU making critical tackling mistakes and other errors that allowed OSU to gain some momentum to win.

Herbert was much better in that Bowling Green game than the stats show. There were a bunch of dropped balls. He had the highest adjusted completion percentage by PFF of all college qbs on passes 20+ yards that week. 7 of 8 should’ve been caught but 4 were drops. I don’t remember the exact numbers on short and intermediates but there were several other drops I remember seeing.
With that said, I like both Herbert and Haskins. Herbert is a more refined prospect right now and Haskins’ limited sample size scares me. Herbert is a better athlete and has a better pocket presence. Haskins doesn’t have a great feel for pressure right now which he can improve but I don’t see how Herbert isn’t QB1 right now. Haskins is QB2 and has a ton of upside in my opinion but there’s a wide gap between the two prospects right now.
Yet when he faced an elite pass rush from TCU and a very good one vs Penn State he completed a very high percentage. Yet when Herbert faces a pass rush from a weak defense he got trigger happy and made a bunch of bad decisions. Sounds like you haven't watched either one of them in depth this season..

I was merely saying I only saw him play once...yes, against a good team and I wasn't impressed. I didn't definitiely say I thought he wwasnt a good QB.

tell me more about his high completion percentage
And penn state has a top pass rush? Since when? Haha
Honestly, I think Herbert looks better than anybody from last year. A little more raw yes, but his talent is extraordinary.
