If you watch the full interview, OBJ didn�t throw Eli under the bus. He did respond �I don�t know� but he added that Eli has fight left and was supportive of him, while still saying he wasn�t going to be scrambling out of the pocket. I still think the interview was a stupid idea, but OBJ wasn�t as scathing as the edited interview made it seem.

parity. In theory, perfect parity means waiting 31 years between SB wins for any one team. That is a very long wait. And for every team that wins 2 SB within 32 years, by definition that means another team must wait 33 years.

Anyway, there is nothing written in stone that says the NY Giants will continue to win Super Bowls as often as the last four. This time around they may very well be on the "other side" of the scale - and the wait could approach 50 years if statistics are going to even out over long periods of time.

And failing with the #9 pick in the entire draft is one good way to tilt things towards a longer, rather than shorter, wait.

The inability to objectively assess Eli's play is maddening at times.

the funny thing is that many BBI'ers wanted Saquan to be drafted rather than a QB because they wanted to win now and didn't want to wait for a new QB rebuild. THAT WAS MADDENING. They are waiting longer now be3cause we don't have the future QB in the fold.

It�s easy to point out some plays that Eli missed, but if there isn�t a QB that could deal with this situation any better, then benching Eli would be a mistake. Remember, Even Brady couldn�t make anything happen when his line couldn�t give him consistent room to operate.

you think a guy like OBJ is hoping for Eli's demise? I think he just wants Eli to get him the fucking ball.

Also, what "level of QB" is Eli exactly? Based upon Eli's skill set NOW, chances are a new QB would not be a downgrade.

I really don't understand the fear of failure here if the Giants move onto a new QB. We have been at the bottom for a while now. There is nowhere to go but up.

Please stop comparing Eli to Brady. It is embarrassing. eli is now just about the worst starting QB in the league. He once was good, yes. You will remember when Brady had poor protection and turned in four subpar games it was fixed by the fifth game. Part of the solution was quicker drops, quicker releases, keeping defense honest. Eli does not have this kind of game. Eli is unable to play a quick rhythm offense.

Is a quarterback that has the least amount of time and space of any QB in the league (at least from the games I watch) and defenses that have rightly decided that the Giants have no answer for relentless pressure-so they keep bringing it (as would I in their position), and in the moments when defenses decide to stop bringing the pressure, Eli gets a moment to breathe and has thrown downfield just fine.

I�m not defending Eli, I�m wanting wins...and I don�t see any QB getting us wins until this line shows they can block basic dogs, stunts, and blitzes.

The absolute inability of the team to put together an offensive line for somewhere between 7-10 years would be my main source of blame.

We also didn't replace defensive stars like Tuck, Osi, Strahan with adequate enough pass rushers, and then of course, our back 7 hasn't had a playmaker in God knows how long.

The whole system is broken. Replacing one of the parts isn't going to get it done.

You are especially correct when considering in that span he had his best w seasons and probably his best 3 consecutive seasons (2014-2016).
