Watching the NFC East teams play. Everyone of them are better than we are and its not close. Eli truly is done and it is time to go. Look at even Prescott you can see the pressure he just steps and moves to the side. Eli would have been sacked 6 times even not more. Smith same thing a lot better than Eli.Lets not kid ourselves anymore and let someone else play.
Now the Cowboys, Eagles & Redskins ALL have 3 wins and they've left the Giants in the rear view mirror. Get ready for another last place finish :(
Eli is perfect in your book. It's unreal.
It didn't seem to matter against New Orleans.
But apparently, a lot of teams have all day to throw.
Worst line, true, and by far. Horrendous. But other teams QBs can make plays when they get rushed, ours absolutely cannot.

Shut the fuck up already. There’s more than one problem on this team. I’ve expressed a million times to move on from Eli. So either shut the fuck up or ignore my posts.
You’re the knobslobber who accused Eli of being a quitter so you really have some nerve calling out posters.
But apparently, a lot of teams have all day to throw.
You watch Ben, Flacco, rivers, Ryan at all today? QBs who don’t move well and have tea back there waiting for guys to get open.

Neither of you watched the Cardinals game, that's for sure.
Or Bortles??
Those guys were both aces at avoiding a sieve of a OL today.
Do some of you even watch other games??
Another truther - "It is all Mara's fault". Scream it loud enough and long enough and it will be true.

No they don’t.

The mobile QB mantra only works if the team you're talking about wins their game. Like today, see Prescott, Dak. Watson, Deshaun. Darnold, Sam.
When they don't win, you just ignore it. Like Mariota, Bortles, and Winston.

Have faith in John Mara at this point after years of garbage football with horrible decisions. Old washed up QB and a 67yr old dinosaur that said he doesn't believe in analytics at all and said Eli has "years left" based on ONE game out of sixteen!!! I want to know what exactly Dave Gettleman saw in Omameh??? This Franchise now are the CLEVELAND BROWNS of the NFC. A laughing stock. Maras are caught up in nostalgia not winning. Hire a young smart GM and detach himself from all football decisions.

Exactly...forget that Jax couldn't run and couldn't tackle.
In particular the Falcons, I paid attention to how long it took Ryan to get the ball out of there. He was pressured plenty, despite the fact that he tends to get rid of the ball in under 3 seconds almost every play (the ones that don't involve play action).
In particular, he got whaled on the long play to Jones (?) that got them into the redzone early on. Hung in there and got blasted, but completed the play.

Mere technicalities. Blocking and tackling, who needs those fundamentals of football?
Number of points an offense that had that kind of OL play put up? 0
With a mobile QB.
He didn't just look bad, he looked historically bad.
And here's a little peek behind the curtain: QB's who play behind a bad OL are going to look really bad.

Eli doesn’t get 3 seconds often. And Ryan had plenty of time to throw all day.
Ouch...11 sacks is that legal?

If Eli gets 2.5 seconds it is an eternity....

I'm not sure Matt Ryan is the one we want any QB to emulate. Tough kid, but seems to be a loser in the end.
Still can't get over him taking that sack in the Super Bowl to drive ATL out of field goal position which would have put them up 2 scores.
It wasn't a mirage, it was a hallucination.

Yep that’s what we want. Dak fucking Prescott.

Did Flowers play? If he did, have they cut him yet?
This. But it’s all Eli. Yeah. He’s imobile. But there’s not a QB In the NFL who would be successful behind this line. And the D sucks ass.
Today showed us nothing we didn’t know. Reese decimated the team. The idiot Mara’s fired TC and kept Reese and Chris Mara on to keep fucking up. Hired McAdoo who was clueless. Now it’s back to that 70s Show. Shitty football brought to us by the DNA lottery crowd

Well since I've received letters from his father, I think I know who one of the owners is.
And the answer is - So the Fuck What? Scream it loud enough and long enough and it will be true and only a real moron doesn't understand that.
Your an ELI FANBOY!!!!

Ostriches don’t really put their head in the sand. But thinking he’s notnpart
Of the problem is sad

You do realize this is a Giants website, right? Shocking that some of us would be able to grasp the nuances of football and not place all of the blame on one player.
Your an ELI FANBOY!!!!
LOUD NOISES!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, ok.....because that Giants oline was going to protect Darnold better than Eli.
Put Darnold on this team right now, and we're still 1-5.
There will be quarterbacks in the next two drafts, and we will likely have high picks in both drafts. So, we take one of those quarterbacks. NCAA FB is not going to go to the single wing, for God's sake.

And since you received letters from his father what????
It was his father that ran Giants into the ground which prompted the league getting involved in putting George Young in place. So I guess you don't know Giants history. No problem

No Flowers did not play. They showed him on the sideline staring blankly at the field, with his mouth open. He looked like he was trying to comprehend what was on display before him. Only thing missing was a dunce cap. I guess we will have to wait until next week for 'TC to turn him around'.
But we went with Flowers instead.
Fuck.

Background noise....
But Eil's complete immobility magnifies the bad OL. He can't extend plays with his feet anymore, but instead has to be willing to take a hit to do so. He is 37, and has taken many beatings. The Giants simply didn't protect him well enough throughout his career. The end result is that he checks down a lot, and our weapons look wasted. I'd be surprised if we didn't see Lauletta this season.
I do watch other games. Other teams have better OL, but most are still bad. Bobby Hart is the starting RT for the Bengals. OL play has deteriorated because of the proliferation of spread offenses in college. Many college OL are rarely in a three point stance, and don't have to hold their blocks for very long because the ball is often thrown quickly. NFL DEs are also much quicker and stronger than they were even 10 years ago. The difference is that other teams have more mobile QBs who can extend plays.
My opinion on DG is split. His draft was excellent through the first three rounds. He also smartly traded JPP. But his FA signings were poor, including Solder, Omameh, Barwin, Martin, and Stewart. He also mistakenly believed that Eli could be productive for another three or four years, when it looks like this may well be his last year.
