What is the current NFL equivalent of Kerry Collins?

That's a good comparison actually. If we wanted to just not go the full QB rebuild, I wonder if we'd consider a route like that. Collins was not half bad - and if we didn't go QB 1, we could build a pretty good 5-year offensive juggernaut if we stock the O-Line. Something to consider. Or maybe Lauletta turns into Drew Brees. Who knows.

Derek Carr - Yeah, Chucky may choose to part ways with him and get his own guy.

Extreme option: Colin Kapaernick. (Who really wasn't that good, hasn't played in a long time, and comes with a ton of controversy.)

I'd much rather seem them trade for a great young prospect (like the Packers did to get Brett Favre) but I don't know who that would be.

Webb's cutting still feels political to me. "Have to get rid of McAdoo's project". Tanney's useless on this team. Webb at least had upside.
