OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR

MarineMan : 10/15/2018 11:10 am
This has been an extremely disappointing season for us

Giant Fans. This team just doesn’t have a legitimate Offensive Coordinator.

This problem is one of several problems why I believe the Giants need an OC to run the offense. Philbin, just came to mind was not a great HC but good OC.

There are some Coaches out there that are better coordinators than HC. I know there are a lot of HC that call the plays.

I don’t think Shumur can prepare or concentrate on calling a game with all the stuff he is trying to clean up as far as the non- football drama from last year is concerned.

He is coaching not to lose and the Giants are losing. Shumur has Shula as the OC and I don’t believe he has the confidence in him to put a game plan together that would be successful.

This to me is one of the main problems. It is just a thought. There is a big difference in Shumur’s personality as the HC of this football team from his hiring to present.

He gets up on the podium and sings the same song after every game but the same results are happening. It is just a thought.

Win or Lose I still wear my hat and I get the beat down from other fans. I wore it when they won the SB in 07 and 11 and I will wear it when they lose. Hopefully they get right.
In a season of disappointment

to me the most disappointing thing is that Dallas and Philadelphia both killed the Giants new coaching staff. Those are the most important games and the Giants were embarrassed on both sides of the ball. Not a good sign.
Gee, who wanted

Shula?
I'm not a fan of an HC

also being an OC. I imagine it's particularly difficult for an HC/OC new to an organization which: a) needs a culture overhaul, b) has a roster that just underwent a 50% turnover, and c) has a brand-new general manager. Shurmur probably insisted on a package deal, and Gettleman/Mara may have considered Shurmur the best guy available, but the arrangement is asking for trouble.

This is all on Shurmur. Not Shula
It sickens me

To see shitgrinning Garrett laughing with maniacal glee at Shumur while out coaching and out play calling him.

Play calling is a bit like playing poker, calling the right plays at the right time, like Peyton, Reid and Bellicheat. Shurmur not so much.
I believe it's Shula that puts the offensive gameplan

together and Shurmur gets that final say and approves the plan. Maybe letting Shula call plays could make a little difference? Worth a try anyway.

just from an optics perspective, you'd think that after McAdoo, the last thing you'd want is an OC that's not calling the plays. And that's exactly what we got.

So who knows exactly where the blame lies as far as scheme's concerned.
