MNF: 49ers at Packers

Is there any reason I shouldn't bet my entire home equity line of credit on the Packers money line?

Rodgers gets obliterated 2nd snap of the game, doesn't wake up until 10 pm.......Karl's chin would be Hungus.
a SF win would knock out over a third

and Packers leaning on the late round rookies at WR. SF could win this.

I want to see more of the big WR Scantling. I think the Packers found a late round gem here.

Big game for Aaron Jones coming tonight, methinks.

They need to stop wasting touches on Williams. Jones is far superior as a runner. Use him as the hammer and work Montgomery in on passing downs.
I'd be shocked if SF won...

He let it go inside the 5 yard line, and the guy caught it behind the 5 yard line. So it's a lateral.
more precisely it is a backward pass
ray in arlington : 10/15/2018 9:25 pm : link
since the term "lateral" is not used in the rule book to describe this.
The Packers clearly hate Aaron Jones.

I think this is a philosophical thing a lot of these teams have.

They see their franchise QB and they believe he can overcome everything from poor o-line play, to a lack of running game, to poor defense.

The Packers have been incredibly poorly coached and lacking in overall talent for years with the idea that Rodgers alone can take them there.

This will end just live Favre's tenure. A feeling of that more should have been won.
Need more Breida please.

Officiating has been horrible since Peyton Manning demanded the NFL change the rules. Now it's so arbitrary it might as well be the NBA.
With 6 seconds left, I think McCarthy and Rodgers
CT Charlie : 10/15/2018 11:55 pm : link

Last drive should never have happened. Worst illegal contact call I’ve seen in a while, especially considering the circumstances. Go from 3rd & 15 to 1st and 10 in the final minute of a tied game? Really? The refs want to insert themselves as a deciding factor with that call at that time?

I agree with others that the officiating is putting a sour taste in my mouth with these games more often than not. I used to come away from games just once in a while thinking “there was that one bad call but man what a great game” ... now it’s pretyy much every other game that I’m saying “good game but with all those horrrendous calls the entire game should have been different and the whole product just feels tainted and amateur.”

Unless you see something blatant that late in a game, just let the damn thing go and let them fight it out in OT. I was disappointed that the announcers clearly refrained from saying anything negative about the officiating all game so as to protect the NFL and the dwindling MNF brand. Just call it like you see it.
Not nearly enough of a big deal is being made about the horse shit

3rd and 15 penalty. Once again a call that should have not have been made directly changes the outcome of the game. Rodgers sacked and they call a foul on what happens every tie a receiver comes off the line and quite possible still within the 5 yard bump zone.

You cannot watch these games anymore unless you are okay with referees basically being Whammies from Press Your Luck.

"Rodgers is sacked... 4 & 17.... Nope stopped on a Whammie..... 1st down!!!!"
The overrating

Of teams and players by Giants fans is comical.
With that being said...

Rodgers is one bad MoFo.

You ain't kidding. On one knee, this guy is making bullet 30-yard backshoulder throws that only his guy can catch. The one throw to Adams is legit "only I can make this throw" territory. Plus he's doing this with one good receiver.
This may sound odd

to those who never played the position. But Rodger's must have one of the strongest wrists ever (save the jokes...). The way he just flicks the ball with such velocity and strength is something only a few guys in the history can so. His accuracy and arm strength on regular throws is unbelivable. But some of the throws where he just flicks it just has that WOW factor.

Rodgers is the best QB ever. I would take him over anyone I've ever watched/seen. Marino, Favre, Montana, Peyton, Brees, Brady... all of them are/have had incredible careers and were/are amazing. But Rodgers just has the most incredible skillset. He's just fucking awesome. I could watch that guy sling it all day.

The current NYG squad can handle this SF team. Across the board, they have us.

Relax. We have the #1 pick wrapped up.

LOL...I am always one to say don't start counting your wins based on the schedule ahead.

But in this case, don't start counting your LOSSES based on the schedule.

I think the Giants are going to win a few more games, and not be in the #1 spot.

its him or Brady for me. I know people say Brady has Belichick. But you still gotta make the throws. And the guy has done it in every facet. Its really close for me.

Sure seems like the illegal contact thing is called WAY WAY WAY more often on 3rd and longs instead of run of the mill 2nd and 8s or whatnot. It's ALWAYS on a critical play. Ruining the game.
One of the best last 2 mins of QB play

I’ve seen. Made a half dozen perfect throws and a clutch run. Those throws to the sideline at the end were ridiculous. Amazing player
