NFT: Jigsaw Magnesium opinions?

DanMetroMan : 10/16/2018 9:19 am
Long story short someone recommended Jigsaw Magnesium, I purchased a bottle after not finding anything harmful/worrisome. I didn't particularly notice any differences while taking it but I also can't really find unbiased opinions/studies if it really does anything. Does anyone have an opinion/article that either supports or dispels the idea it is a good product?

Jigsaw is the brand I use - it's the best I've tried.

You have to pay attention to the type of magnesium because magnesium oxide, for example, isn't absorbed by the body as well as other types (malate, glycinate, etc) - the bioavailability matters.

Some forms give people GI issues - I haven't had that problem with Jigsaw. It's a little pricier than some others but you usually get what you pay for.

So one thing to be careful about

guy I know started taking a lot of magnesium and developed crazy irregular heartbeats. Reason is the heart needs balanced electrolytes to function normally. If either potassium, sodium, or magnesium get way out of whack then you start asking for electrical conduction problems. Talk to a cardiologist or EP first.

I thought he was trying to cut magnesium. And was wondering 'cool, wonder WTF Dan is trying to make out of magnesium'.

Sounds like he was just taking way too much.

Supplementation should be used if you're not getting RDA from diet alone - but magnesium shouldn't be harmful at all if the proper amounts are being taken/consumed.
