when people said Latimer's pathetic stats at Denver were due to good starting WR's and lousy QB play, I pointed to Fowler as a guy who managed to catch quite a few more passes in almost exactly the same situation. So this may be an upgrade.
And at $2.5 million?!? The guy averages only 11 games a year, never even had 20 receptions in a season. Another head scratcher in a free agency full of them.

Was he the one who walked past the punt returner who then fumbled. He was not in position recover. Maybe he wanted to down the ball but messed up on where it was. Was that Latimer?

yeah that's it, throw dirt on the guy who played well for us in his limited opportunities seeing as he's never more the 4th receiving option in a broken passing game.

I was “throwing dirt” on Gettleman, genius. But hey, if it makes ya feel better, I’ll worry about the hurt feelings if the poor multi-millionaire.

According to the coach, he couldn't recover because he injured himself on the play.

Sure was. Good riddance.
I thought I read that was actually the play he suffered the injury that ended his season. So I wouldn't kill him for that play.
But I wonder what the market for him really was based on his very unimpressive tenure in Denver. Seems like he was more a vet minimum player -- not $2.5M guaranteed.

He pulled a muscle at the moment, Shurmur even said as much.
Originally a big no from me, but the season is fucked so why not.
May Eli will find a magic Plaxico like connection with Dez since he likes overthrowing tall receivers.
I think the Odell interview backlash killed any chance of them signing Dez Bryant, I'm sure they want no parts of another WR that doesn't use good judgment when the cameras are on him
why wouldn't we steel practice squad players from other teams if we are going to need bodies to fill the 53 man roster? I am pretty sure that there are payers that are being hidden on the practice squads on other teams that could be a better option then our practice players.

Funny part is Dez would probably turn the Giants down at this point.
Let that sink in.
dude w/e hail mary to save the season
Agreed.
Sucks to lose the depth but I am excited to see Jawill get more PT.

At this point, why the hell not. He can run a 4-yard curl on 3rd and 6 as well as anyone we have on team now.
