The Knicks starting lineup Wednesday night against the Hawks: Kanter, Lance Thomas, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Trey Burke, Frank Ntilikina.
No Knox.
Mudiay is out against Atlanta.
without giving up on the latest plan. Hopefully they win less than 20. It's going to be a looooooooooong time before MSG sees a home playoff game for either Dolan team.
They probably like Frank defending the opposing SF more than THJr. Could also be Fiz trying to get a feel with who can play well with who. Burke and THJr will be the main scorers for the starting unit, Frank and Lance for the defense, and Kanter to clean up the boards.

how exactly have they given up on their current plan?
"Position-less basketball" is what he's pushing. Knox will get plenty of run over time. The team stinks, so it's all about development, and Nitilkina needs to be developed just as much as Knox.
I dknt think Fiz views frank as a point, i think he views him as a player that is jack of all trades can play multiple positions including point but not full time and i think we will see that
Unlike what some fans want, the Knicks won't intentionally tank. This lineup seems to make more sense to try to win games for now. Though, I agree with the poster on the other thread who said that all of the Knick's players have similar talent levels at the moment so it probably doesn't really matter who starts. However, I still think it will be interesting to see the rotations and to see who ends up closing games this season.
Knox was BAD in preseason after being great in SL.
also, I'll be interested to see how long or short the rotation is. Not preseason any more, might just be a 9-man rotation. Knox, Mitch, Vonleh, Trier as the four subs? I don't know if Lee is ready to play yet, or whether Baker is going to get any burn at this point.

he will still get his 30 minutes
how exactly have they given up on their current plan?
he should be happy, him and hezonja will be primary ball handlers
Who is the 2nd unit?
Baker
Trier
Knox
Hezonja
Robinson
What about Lee?

most likely trier is the back up point
Excited to see "the process."

I think Lee is banged up a bit, no? I hope they get him enough burn to build a little trade value and dump him off on someone who needs bench help
"The alignment will have Trey Burke at point guard, Ntilikina at shooting guard and Tim Hardaway Jr. at small forward."
Looking forward to the game - should be interesting even if the Knicks aren't very good.
So we have a chance of seeing Trey Burke at C? :)

separate yourselves from sticking to traditional lineups.

Even more hilarious. Well, he is our DRAYMOND. Haha
Tom Quinn says whats up?
If he realized he was a 3 and D, he'd be ok. It's when he thinks he has some athleticism that things go crazy. Nothing like a Lance drive and floater.
the defense with frank and lance in the starting lineup should be good which will allow burked and hardaway to get out and run...
my guess knox first guy off the bench for lance or burke

A good guess, I think. Frank was going to be the 6th man but now it's Knox. Not a bad move. I like how Fiz is handling things so far.

Coincidence?
