NFT: Knicks vs Hawks

GiantsUA : 10/17/2018 10:41 am
Looking forward to tonight's game.

Wonder if we will see former Mr. NY State Basketball and section 2 star - Kevin Huerter - 19th pick in NBA draft

Several of the past winners of Mr. New York State Basketball (established in 1986) went to star at major Division I schools and some of them enjoyed extended careers in the NBA — among them Stephon Marbury, Elton Brand, Jamal Mashburn and Kenny Anderson.

Im sorry, but I cant help but root for them to win this game. Its the opener, I want the kids to gain confidence so they progress and I want Hardaway ro look elite so somebody offers a package for him.

the people who complain about wins are going to be annoying as hell

We're going to get a high pick. A very high one. We are just too young and lack the established pieces to compete.

This is the first Knicks team I have been able to be into in a while
At what point does Adam Silver
LawrenceTaylor56 : 10/17/2018 8:40 pm : link
just cancel the MVP voting and give it to Hardaway?
Best half of bb

I've ever seen Hardaway play.

Lame Thomas on the other hand continues to suck giant rhinoceros dick.

And if they end winning a decent number of games without KP, that means a lot went right and that’s just as good as tanking

Let's not overreact.

But we're winning the East.
That was one of the weirdest halves I've ever seen
Anakim : 10/17/2018 8:55 pm : link
Frankly, I didn't even think the Knicks played well and yet they're blowing out the Hawks.

If the Hawks continue to look this way, they deserve the first overall pick

Was there a specific rap
jpkmets : 10/17/2018 9:36 pm : link
on Vonleh that has led to 4 teams in 5 years after being a high pick?

Looks motivated and certainly a legit presence tonight, at least.

I agree. We're not going to compete with the Celtics, Sixers and Raptors in the Atlantic and we're most likely not going to make the playoffs, but this season should be about development and building a culture. Make New York an attractive destination again.

Allonzo Trier isn't going to be on the Westchester shuttle
dpinzow : 10/17/2018 9:40 pm : link
fpr much longer. He's a legit NBA player, at least a rotation player in a starting 8 or 9

Oh for sure. We didn't play well in that first half. I'm not used to being the less shitty team.

Fun night, great win. If they play defense like this often, they will win games.
Poor Dotson

and we took full advantage. A little chaotic out there, but I love the energy. Hopefully Knox has a better showing on Friday.
First place baby!!

Enjoy it Knick fans.
Frank played 33 minutes, the most on the team.

Kornet wasn't dressed. Lee and Dotson were the two who were active and didn't play.

the guy is a bit of a weirdo but he obviously loves playing in New York. Apparently he's given up red meat and wants to commit to being the fastest big man up and down the floor. Not a bad plan.

When I first moved to Charlotte, we played pickup nearly every day. Occasionally, we'd get Antwan Jamison to play with us. Or sometimes Jay Bilas would come by. Mike Giminski too.

I think Jamison was still in high school! It was 1993/1994, and he was talking about going to UNC to play.
I just got a chance to watch the game.
mattyblue : 10/18/2018 5:30 am : link
It was a lot of fun to see. I thought Trier looked great, his shot is beautiful. Any chance he could become a real starter? Or is it more a case of Atlanta just being terrible.

How did Frank look? I didn’t really get to pay too much attention to a lot of it, but the box score shows he played a Lot of minutes. I apologize if these questions have already been asked and answered. I recently had surgery and have been pretty loopy from medication.
