Looking forward to tonight's game.
Wonder if we will see former Mr. NY State Basketball and section 2 star - Kevin Huerter - 19th pick in NBA draft
Several of the past winners of Mr. New York State Basketball (established in 1986) went to star at major Division I schools and some of them enjoyed extended careers in the NBA — among them Stephon Marbury, Elton Brand, Jamal Mashburn and Kenny Anderson.

I don't feel like it will be a long year. The expectations are low. There's fun young players up and down the roster. There will be a lot of games where they play well for 3 out of 4 Q and lose. And there will be games where they win. As long as they play hard, they will be fun to watch, even when they lose. It's much different than watching a roster of average veterans suck with no draft picks in sight.
Let's Go! (And let's lose a lot of games. lol)

This time next year should be a lot of fun!

Lets talk after 3 months of constant losing and Kanter, Lee, THJR and Lance Thomas getting 30 mins a game. Don't get me wrong, I understand the importance of the development for a few key players, but its gonna get old pretty fast, IMO.
I know they are going to be awful and I can’t stand watching THJ and Kanter, but I’m still excited. I really hope Knox and Frank have promising years. I think those 2 proving themselves as solid starters will do wonders for the Knicks outlook going forward.
Not even as close to the level of THJ. But not a fan of his antics and his defense.
Let's face it, the only players on this roster who matter are KP, Frank, Knox, Robinson and Trier. If they create more salary cap space by moving Lee, MAYBE Burke or Hezonja could be brought back in a bench role going forward. Add another lottery pick and - hopefully - a legit player in free agency, and we'll actually have something here.
Losing is fine. Both teams need the draft slot.
So far, so good with the Rangers - they've only won a couple of games, but they're competing with some pretty good teams and they're enjoyable to watch. It's refreshing. Hoping to see the same from the Knicks.
Next year forward is when we'll start to hopefully be concerned with the actual winning and losing part.

What don't you like about Kanter?

his defense was actually not bad during preseason, will never be a shot blocker but his positioning was good..
normally when a reporter says something about durant and it is wrong durant immediately shuns them and calls them a liar...
may mean absolutrly nothing but it was interesting to me

if they get extra space i could see them bringing back kanter...
i also think the hope is to keep hezonja as well
he had a 20-20 game it basically 1 half of work in preseason this year
Tonight may be one of the 23, so let's roll!
Starters: Trey Burke, Tim Hardaway Jr., Lance Thomas, Kevin Knox, Enes Kanter
Net Rating Together in 2017-18: N/A
This lineup could change massively throughout the season. Maybe the coaching staff turns to Frank Ntilikina as the starting point guard and gives him the long leash he deserves. Perhaps Mario Hezonja and Mitchell Robinson work their way into more prominent roles. Kristaps Porzingis could even return from his ACL tear, rather than sitting out the entirety of the 2018-19 campaign.
But only that final possibility would make a significant impact on these rankings. The Knicks are devoid of established high-end talent, instead turning to veteran castoffs and stat-stuffers such as Enes Kanter to fill the glaring hole left by the Latvian 7-footer. Still, throw Porzingis into the mix at the expense of Knox (who's struggled during the preseason), and the score rises to 23.37, pushing New York out of the basement and into the No. 27 position.

Downside for Philly is that Lee eats into their cap space for next summer.
Kanter/Lee to Wizards for Markieff Morris/Jason Smith/Austin Rivers (all expiring)
Wizards are capped out anyway so adding Lee's 19/20 money doesn't hurt.

i think it depends, if the mnicks completely suck which is most likely case i think he plays maybe last 10 games...
if the knicks are somehow competing for a playoff spot i can see him coming back a little earlier
The quoted article is out of date. Frank is starting and Knox is not. Whether Frank is at the 3 or the 2 is not clear - it's been reported both ways. And it may not matter under Fiz's system.
Trey Burke covering Trae Young ... I dunno about that.
their entire roster is the youngest, with courtney lee on the roster
