Reality: We are 1-5 and the playoffs are in serious doubt, if not over.
For the rest of this season, I’ve decided I’m going to cheer my a$$ off for #10.
Why? Because, in my book he’s earned that, if not more. He’s carried me and my family to the pinnacle of football highs.
Next season, whatever will be will be, but that’s a discussion for another day.
Is he a HOF’er... maybe. Will he be in the Giants Ring of Honor... without a doubt.
For now, let it fly #10
And who knows... stranger things have happened... 18-1
Your welcome sir
Nope, don’t wear that. Sorry to break it to you.
With all this draft this guy or that guy talk just thought it appropriate to. It lose sight of enjoying what might be the last season as one of the best giants QBs ever.
Call it old fashion, or lame, or move on, or continue to keep mocking if you like, it’s all good.
It reminds of seeing the GOAT Willie Mays, in his last MLB year with the Mets, tripping and falling to the ground going back on a fly ball.
I remember that day as my boyhood idol fell from that pedestal.
Eli is my adult idol and, well, you know the rest.
Maybe check the nfc east standings then re-read, or not.

Pretty much exactly where I’m coming from. Thanks for framing it better.

Maybe actually watch the Giants play and then re-write, or not.

Ha, I see what you did there. Nice one!
However, I would hate to see this end in injury (ala Tittle) or humiliation (ala Willie Mays). Would like to see a situation where, with Giants out of it, perhaps late in the season, Eli wins a game for us late and decides to phase himself out gracefully. He's been too good a player, teammate, and person for too long to see him go out on a downer. Let him walk away with his health and pride intact and on his own terms.
Holy too funny
I wish I could share your vision l, you know, win 4 in a row, get to 5-5, meaningful games in Dec.
But knowing that Eli is no longer the future makes it difficult to get excited about that scenario.
I m a Giants fan first, and until they have their next guy in place, it s hard to take get too excited about just playing better
just decided i'm going to put on the blue colored glasses for the rest the year. If Eli goes out and throws 5 picks? who cares., just fling it and be aggressive. its not like we can do any worse right now.
maybe they make something out of nothing, maybe not, but i'll remain hopefull.
Wish I could adopt your attitude and I will watch every game. But a big part of me believes the only to way to justify pawing on Darnold this year, is to get the guy next year. Losses make that more probable.
