Hi,
Let's discuss who should we start this week? I'll go first.
Would you bench Brady, and start Dalton in his place? Brady is on the road at Chicago, while Dalton is at KC. I'm leaning towards going with Dalton because almost every QB who has played the Chiefs this year have had great fantasy weeks. Too tempting to resist. Am I insane for benching the GOAT? TD's are 6, and interceptions are -3.
In addition who would you start at my Flex position? Non-PPR league:
P. Barber v. Cle
C. Davis @ LAC
M. Mack v. Buf
C. Godwin v. Cle
Presently, I am starting Barber. RB against a suspect run D makes the most sense to me. Barber broke out last week, and I see good things in his future. I hope.
What do you think? Any feedback is welcome and appreciated.
Best of luck to you all, and thank you.
The QB situation is tough though. Dalton has a tremendous matchup. I could see him throwing for multiple TDs. Brady is Brady, so benching him seems nuts. He did produce a dud against a suspect D in Detroit, so he makes me nervous with his matchup in Chicago. A much better defense. Although, they were just torn up by Osweiler, and Mack is dealing with an ankle injury. I'm probably over thinking this.
Sleep like a baby? I wish I had your confidence. Best
I agree with YAJ on Barber and Brady.
Best of luck to you both.
The Bears D is pretty good, but they aren't anywhere near the dominant D that even Jacksonville was last year.
The KC D is really bad, but they are also getting torched on the ground as much as in the air. Mixon could easily run for 150+ and a couple of TDs.

I think Clement is the way to go. Safer bet at present.
Two RBs from James White, Dalvin Cook, Mark Ingram, Lamar Miller or Marlin Mack.
One R/W/T from Alshon Jeffrey, Sterling Shepard or one of the leftover RBs above.
Thanks guys….

Yeah, clearly Jeffrey for your flex.
For the 2 RBs it's clearly between the first 3, the other guys are trash in comparison.
I'd go Ingram and White. I'd love to say Cook over White, but I simply can't trust Cook until I see him get a full workload and there's no need to risk it when you have a guy with White's floor.

I'd probably lean slightly to Drake, but I agree they are basically even.
I choose Denver over Miami, Dallas, and Indy. Hope it works out.

PPR? If so, I think Kirk scores the most points and is the most consistent of the options. Also depends on how deep you are at RB though.

Thanks, I thought so too. I'm not sure it's veto-able though. I'm generally a fan of letting people do what they want with their teams

Clement. Really like the way Philly is using him through the air as well as the run game and their offense is very efficient right now.

You have to play White despite the matchup. He's so involved in that offense and this is at all a PPR league, he's one of the top PPR fantasy RBs, at #7 on the season, ahead of guys like McCaffrey and Kareem Hunt. And I'd go Ingram on the other one, yes, another terrible matchup but I do trust Drew Brees and his efficiency to open things up for Ingram and he is a threat in the pass game as well a bit. Cook you just have to wait until he's all the way back and trust that Minnesota is going to give him the full complement of snaps. Marlon Mack and Lamar Miller...just not anywhere in the same discussion as the other three guys right now. And I'd also put Jeffery in your flex with confidence.

Christian Kirk, actually. He's the clear #1 target for Rosen and he is a dynamic playmaker. I actually drafted Kirk in a deep league based on what I saw in preseason. Guy I think is going to be a star, and he's really developing that chemistry with Rosen early. Cards also have a pretty favorable schedule.
Exactly this. The team getting Beckham, JSS, and Thompson wins that trade by a lot.
I would still do so if possible. I had to let him go because of bye week problems. However, if he's still available on the other side of them, I'm going to look to pick him back up.
he's still available
it's a keeper league, so I may add him back soon. If he has a good second half, he'd be keepable for an 8th round pick should that be my best option.

Pretty deep: Gurley, DJohnson, Carson/MDavis, Ito Smith.

Well then Scotty, beam up Captain Kirk!
Depends on the other RB's and how much of an upgrade it would be at WR.
Christian Kirk or Keke Coutee.
At this point as just a bench guy but might be pressed into action during bye week
League 1 decision... need to pick my QB2 out of:
Mayfield @ TB
Trubisky v. NE
Manning @ ATL
In League 2, I need to pick my QB2 out of:
Dalton @ KC
Winston v. Browns
Dalton clearly has a more favorable matchup, but Winston looked awesome in his first start off suspension and is home (was the #1 QB in fantasy in week 6).
Need your wise opinions, my brothers!!! Thanks!

would you trade away Ingram and Ito Smith for Devante Adams?

I’ve got Green, Hill, Fuller, Godwin at WR. At RB it’s David Johnson, Michel, Ingram, Breida, K Johnson, Ito Smith, Lindsey.
I can flex 2 so Adams would be my weekly permanent Flex or WR during BYES.
Wendell Smallwood vs CAR
Ito Smith vs NYG
Keke Coutee vs Jax

Given that team, if you have the opportunity to acquire Adams for the said players do it immediately.
Adams may end up being the #1 WR in fantasy this year. He's on a 16 TD pace and I had him for 14 TDs this year prior to the season. Yes I would do it.
I believe he will play.
I’d go Winston. I’m not starting Brees I don’t think. Going to roll with Goff at San Fran.

Trubisky and Dalton. That KC/Cinci game should be a fantasy point bonanza.
Benching Brees isn't advisable.
Wendell Smallwood vs CAR
Ito Smith vs NYG
Keke Coutee vs Jax
Ugh. Probably Corey Davis. Could go Ito and hope for a rushing TD.

Absolutely, I'd make that trade. Adams hasn't been a portrait of health, but he's still producing.
No. I've been starting Tate and Golladay all year together and it's been really good for me. That said, Breida is a good flex play this week, that's who I'd probably want.
Robert Woods @ Niners
Kenny Golladay @ Miami
Golden Tate @ Miami
How would you play that?
I also have Stafford at QB this week in this league.

With Kupp out... Woods because Goff's number 1. Also go with Golladay. He is their number 1 now.
As for the Winston side of it, he had a great game last week, but it's too early to know what you have in him. Was last week a harbinger or does he come back down to earth now that teams have more film on him with this year's set of tools to work with? Personally, I don't like the guy as a person and it prejudices my opinion of him as a football player, so I'll "recuse" myself from giving advice.

Exactly what I have in my lineup, perfect. I'll leave it as is. Thanks, man!
OJ Howard vs Cleveland you mean of course. Cleveland has been a little tougher on tight ends this year but I think you have to play Howard due to his speed and big play potential. Both Burton and Howard have just 15 catches this year, but Howard has turned those catches into 284 yards vs just 199 for Burton.
I'm a Burton guy, too, but I'd go Howard this time.
If you can get your hands on Njoku, the Buccaneers have been extraordinarily bad against the TE position, allowing 486 yards and 3 TDs to TEs in just 5 games. Ertz, Vance McDonald, Burton, and Austin Hooper have all burned them.

Where do you see that Howard will shadow Golladay?
Quote:
might not be worthy enough to switch him to Tate, but I think Golladay's upside could be limited this week. A TD would still likely make him better than Tate though.

I don't know that he's going to shadow him for sure, but he will be on Golladay/Jones and not Tate.

Right, Fitzptrick will be on Tate I believe.
Detroit is interesting to defend because they have three quality WR's.
I am debating Kerryon Johnson or Golladay as my flex.
I was hoping McTyer mostly covered Golladay. Howard is better, but if it's Howard I think it will be single coverage. Safety help going to cover Jones IMO.

Allstarjim, just a follow up on the TE question. Was all over Njoku this week, but I have Kittle and Engram. Like the potential in Atlanta on Monday night. How would you rank them this week??? Njoku, Kittle and Engram that is....
Thanks
I wouldn't be in that league another year. Why would they veto that? You should see some of the trade in my league.
We have some dumb owners.
I won’t leave the league, it’s all my good friends, but they can get very petty if a good team wins a trade. Generally it doesn’t result in vetos (probably because I rarely trade) but this time they all went apeshit.
I love that I’m keeping Lindsay, fun player to watch and he’s the guy on the field more when they play from behind and also gets goal line work. If they finally stop giving carries to Booker he’d be a weekly Flex option, possibly an RB2.

Even though I like Engram as a fantasy TE and a good matchup with a defense starting 2 second string safeties and 2nd string MLB, I still think he should be benched out of that group for the following reasons:
He's at best the #3 passing game target in that offense.
The Giants passing game and offense in general is very inefficient and they struggle to sustain drives and score points most of the time. I do think this week could be a good one for the offense, but...
Kittle has been very consistent all year as a target for Beathard and Jimmy G. He's the #5 fantasy TE thus far. On the flip side, even though the Rams have allowed some decent yardage to TEs (401 yards through 6 games), they have yet to allow a TD, and I like that defensive front's ability to severely disrupt Beathard and that Niner offense this weekend.
Then there is Njoku. The Tampa defense has been an absolute sieve to all pass-catchers, including tight ends, and combine that with the fact that Njoku has led the Browns with 22 targets in the last two weeks...I think this is going to be a big game for Njoku this week. Definitely high end fantasy TE #1.

I see your all in on Brees, saying to “trust your stars”. Most of the websites I use for rankings have him 10 and lower. Not that I would bench Brees, but this seems to be a difficult matchup. He’s on the road and playing the #1 defense against QB’s, even though they haven’t faced many good QBs.
What’s your thoughts as to why play him??
I'm starting Brees over Rivers. The Ravens shut down Roethlisberger but were lit up by Dalton.
Thanks Milton. Outside of those two, the rest of the QBs to face the Ravens are garbage. I kinda like Brees and SP coming off the bye with extra time to prepare.
Just wondering, always looking for extra insight!!
