I know it won't actually make anyone feel better.
But their first play from scrimmage was a carry for no gain. Then they burned a time out one play in, and on the next play, Rosen's pass was tipped, intercepted and returned for a TD.
Then they were offside on the XP.
I know some people here wanted Steve Wilks, I know a lot of people wanted Josh Rosen. (I thought he was the best QB in this class, so that includes me... )
This team is basically dead last in offense. They can't run, they can't pass.
They're an even worse version of the Giants.
Gonna do that thing where you just fill the comments box until you get the last word in?

Great. Good job. Good effort.

Nah man. I think we're actually in agreement about Rosen. Which is hilarious.

I don't really get what you're doing then. You can object to me posting gifs if you want, but I don't have the time to scour the internet and compile a powerpoint presentation to support my claim. You can go watch the games he played. I picked two items to highlight where he's showing the things he was told to be able to handle well. I'm not trying to spin two good plays into him being Aaron Rodgers.

To be fair, I think you’d be able to pick out a couple of 3 second clips on almost any QB where their footwork and pocket presence look right.
I can't very well post a full three hour game. Peyton Manning did a breakdown on Rosen on ESPN Plus, but it's behind a paywall.
It's like people don't want to hear that he hasn't been godawful all season. He's had his moments just like Darnold and Mayfield has.
I think most people agree it’s too early to determine anything. He’s basically set up to fail right now.
Sure, you’ll get a few dolts who have already written him off, but I’d argue that’s far from popular opinion. We’re not even at the halfway point.
I will repeat my reference to Eli in '11. He made plays despite his line not being very good at all.
Yeah that's me. Being a tough guy, having a discussion with another poster.
You're posts are watery shit. Something everyone avoids and never talks about.

If you think Carson Palmer and Matt Stafford are underwhelming I think you need to watch more football. The Giants should be so lucky to have a QB right now with that kind of ability and pedigree.
Quote:
They werent spectacular plays or anything. There are plenty of quarterbacks who throw a nice ball but are underwhelming QBs when they need to make plays. Carson Palmer, Trent Green, Stafford. The thing that differentiates the real good ones is the killer instinct to do whatever is necessary to make the play. I have never gotten that from Rosen. I get that ability from Mayfield and Darnold. I also kinda get it from Herbert...from what Ive seen.

Lol, oh yea?
Those guys havent won a goddamn thing. They never have been able to and you can tell why in the way they play when the moment gets big. They play scared. They overthrow. They know the pressure is coming and prepare to get sacked instead of keeping their eyes downfield.
Eli was the polar opposite in his prime. The easy throws and situations he would screw up, but when it came time to win Eli's game rose to the situation.

Yea I didnt realize who I was responding to...cant believe I engaged the dupe and took his response seriously.
And they have more talent on defense too.
Giants aren't looking down on anybody right now.
The point? He's a rookie making rookie mistakes.
Gifs don't prove shit.

what dupe. stop being a fool. Football is not a one on one sport. If you don't think Palmer and Stafford were excellent peak QBs I think you don't know what you are looking at. There is no serious QB analyst on the planet that would bash those guys.

Who's bashing them? Just said they werent winners and you could tell that early in their careers.
Whatever....you also might want to look up the word pedigree again.

huh? are you a joker? Stafford and Palmer are two of the highest pedigree QBs to emerge from college in the last 20 years. If you are going to attempt to insult someone it would be more impressive if you knew the meaning of your insults.
And they have more talent on defense too.
Giants aren't looking down on anybody right now.
We are looking eye to eye with the raiders tho.
Second, your fabulous QBs of the last 10/20 years have amassed a total of 1 single playoff win btwn the two of them.
You probably loved Elvis Grbac and Vinny Testaverde too.
At least they're not a threat to take Herbert...though they could trade the pick for a team that wants him. Grrr.

My friend, respectfully, pedigree refers to lineage and descent. It does not refer to your performance in your present state. I am sorry you are confused about the word pedigree. I suggest you look it up.
Stafford and Palmer are both NUMBER ONE PICKS who came into the league with amazing tools, and beloved by scouts. Likewise, they performed at high levels in the NFL. Palmer eventually suffered injuries and Stafford has been stuck on a poor franchise. But to compare them to Elvis Grbac and deny their pedigree is totally ignorant.
I heard you are a pedigree and had to register yourself with you local police dept.
Snap!
Quote:
But first...Eli Manning has a NFL pedigree. Jake Matthews has a NFL pedigree. So do Kyle and Chris Long. Stafford and Palmer dont. Like I said you are using the word pedigree wrong.

::Sigh:: Here you go dipshit. Pedigree in reference to athletes refers to their family having been successful pro athletes. Go back to sleep son.

Hey moron... when we talk about a QBs pedigree we aren't talking about their parents. They aren't quarter horses fuckwad. Stupid AND arrogant. You must be a real champ in real life.

Uh, no. Toughness is being questioned, not ability.
And didn't Pugh suit up tonight and play with a mangled hand?
Guy was a good player with versatility for the Giants, yet people shit on him constantly. Great "fans."
B, did Pugh actually get in the game?? I know he was active, but i didnt actually see him in the game.
