I know it won't actually make anyone feel better.
But their first play from scrimmage was a carry for no gain. Then they burned a time out one play in, and on the next play, Rosen's pass was tipped, intercepted and returned for a TD.
Then they were offside on the XP.
I know some people here wanted Steve Wilks, I know a lot of people wanted Josh Rosen. (I thought he was the best QB in this class, so that includes me... )
This team is basically dead last in offense. They can't run, they can't pass.
They're an even worse version of the Giants.
I still think if we have a semi good QB in 2019, we could be really good with some hits this offseason on OL & defense.
It is what it is.
The Cards are just really, really bad. Giving that type of money to Sam Bradford was flat out moronic. The guy is a lock to get hurt every year. Throwing money at Pugh was stupid, too. He's another one who is always hurt. Sure enough...
Kirk looks like he can play. I think the end is near for Fitz.
DJ isn't the same right now. Their line sucks, but he should be more productive than this.
They have talent issues, but I think their coaches are doing a poor job as well.
Haha. I honestly don’t understand posts like this. So they’ve got a rookie at QB and that’s simply enough for you? Future drafts and free agency don’t matter?
Just weird.
So, if "hope" is all you need, can't we just draft a QB next Spring?
What good is hope when they still suck?
If we drafted Josh Rosen and looked like this while Saquon Barkley was doing what he's doing for someone else, people would just flip their argument and say Gettleman blew it anyway.

They have hope at QB - by far the most important position on the field.

We did draft a QB. Just not as high as people wanted.
It's almost like the thought process is college football won't make any more quarterbacks, or the Giants won't draft in the top 5 again.
I wanted Rosen but he hasn’t shown anything yet. Idk why that puts them in a better position
Arizona fans don't sound very hopeful about Rosen. If you asked them who would they rather, a superstar in Barkley or Rosen, they would say Barkley.
Probably better to simply shake ones head.
They're horrendous. Should safely be able to turn this one off by halftime.
28 points already and the 2nd quarter just started.
At least Arizona has hope!
Rosen has looked like trash. We got Barkley, who has HOF written all over him if he stays healthy. We just got to hit on our QB selection next May.
Now most want to "lose now" to get another top five shot at a quarterback. We can have our top quarterback prospect and our running back too.
And it all sort of makes sense.
He was waiving for a fair catch. No idea why that gunner dove into his legs so awkwardly like that.

Turf monster.
Who will then trade it to Denver or whoever for a king's ransom. Which means we'll get to like Bosa.
I think he took a true game changer in Saquon. I also think his logic was, if Eli is truly not done and played spectacularly w/o a finished O line as in 2011, we would compete. If he didnt, we would be in position to take a QB high this year.

I can't judge Rosen just from this game. He's having a game like Eli did in 2004 against the Ravens. Welcome to the NFL Josh.
Rosen has looked like trash.
You seem to get narratives just fine.
Yea, I wont judge him playing a very tough D with a total trainwreck OL. But the talk by Rosen fans was that he was this magical QB who could transcend a bad line and make SOME plays. So far all Ive seen is that he throws a pretty good ball. Hes not very instinctive from what Ive seen.
Another tough guy commenting from his couch or toilet about the toughness of a professional football player. Hilarious.
Rosen went @10 and was 4th QB taken. But hey who needs facts. That’s like trying to make a point by referencing Lamar Jackson. What the hell does that have to do with anything, lol.

I mean, by that logic, every time someone says "Flowers sucks" we could argue "he could pancake you into next Tuesday".
Wrong... They think they might of drafted their qb of the future. We know without a doubt we got our RB of the future. We are better off.

Yeah, I mean that's more or less where I am at.
I think Eli is done and I think we need a QB. I just don't understand this idea people seem to have that it's like last year was our one and only chance and we missed.
QB is a position you need true conviction on. Elway just keeps whiffing trying to find Peyton's successor. You'd think he knows the position, but it doesn't make him a good evaluator and the picks and signings are really just not panning out for them.
I think Darnold can be really good. I think Mayfield has all of the tools to be an above average QB - but Cleveland was set on Mayfield and we weren't going to get him even if we wanted him.
There's not one way and one way only to fix the Giants and it was never going to happen in one swoop.
We got a tremendous player in this draft. I think saying "it's not translating to wins" is the wrong way to look at it because there's a good chance this team is still 1-5 with Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, or Josh Allen. We might actually be 0-6 with Allen or Rosen.
I think I'd be more angry if Sam Darnold looked like a truly elite player. I see solid right now with the potential to be really good. I don't think Sam Darnold is ever going to be an upper-echelon QB. But that's a different argument, I guess. Of course, it's still early.
But just drafting a QB doesn't mean a team has a plan. And Arizona looks to be a LONG ways away from being competitive again.

this stuff happens to rookie QBs on bad teams. But to simply be happy you’ve got him is just a weird concept.

He's what he was advertised to be. Excellent at the technical aspects of playing QB and advanced for his age. He's also playing on a shit team versus a very good defensive unit.

He'll be fine.
No one said he can’t play.
The overall point is that he's in a really bad situation there - just like any QB would be here with the offensive line we have. A rookie QB would also mean no Saquon Barkley.
So, they'd be handing the ball off to Wayne Gallman and...
Beckham doesn't look all the way back yet. Latimer is done. Engram has been hurt.
I think if we had taken any of the QB's on the board @ 2, they'd be struggling about as much as Rosen is right now.

Uh, no. Toughness is being questioned, not ability.
And didn't Pugh suit up tonight and play with a mangled hand?
Guy was a good player with versatility for the Giants, yet people shit on him constantly. Great "fans."

Who are you arguing with? Read the thread. People are acting like this game justifies not drafting him.
Haha. Gtfoh.

Would you be this protective of Pugh if he went to Rutgers instead of Syracuse?
