Rookie would have survived behind this line. Throw in a putrid run game, it's over. Barkley gives stability and hope for the future - a QB is just another piece that needs added. Cardinals are in disarray even with their future QB.
Let's hope that Case Keenum plays great football the rest Â
Do you pick the second or third best qb in the draft over the best player in the draft.
So QBs going 1-2 is always a mistake? QBs going 1-2 happens frequently — that’s NFL GMs selecting after exhaustive assessment —how exactly doe that translate int BBI fantasy land?
Barkley is individually incredible. And of course even the best running backs have about a 7 year career.
Really good qbs last 15 and that was before rule changes that if you dared to tackle the guy to the turf and gasp land on him that's an ejection and eternal shame.
Love Barkley -- but way too soon (and arrogant) to claim victory. Maybe if we had a championship or even playoff ready roster around him.. right now we have Jamaal Charles in his prime redux

What? After Mayfield was picked, the Giants picked the best player in the draft. You don't pick for need. What's your point?
Rosen looks like Eli, each with oline issues attempting to make plays. The difference is someone with a future (Rosen) and an old man (Eli) with little time left in the league and heading to the glue factory.
stay on topic, we will be talking about Rosen, Mayfield, and Darnell and Eli will be on fox announcing crew. Think about the future, when was the last time this team did a fucking thing of substance, like winning a game? Stop screwing around and start the build.

At least the best ones do. Sometimes more, like Lesean McCoy, Emmitt Smith, and Frank Gore. There is every reason to believe Saquon will play at least 10 years because he protects himself well on the field.

Totally. That Darnell guy is going to be amazing.
Giants need to start the build. NOW!
But let's stay on topic, folks.
Yeah imagine that, the Jets with a rookie is .500 and the Giants with a veteran with 2 rings is 1-5.. Amazing how facts seem to point out things very clearly. Darnold 7 Tds, Eli 4TD...we can keep going, but why bother?
But, yeah, after seeing him struggle tonight I’m sure he won’t ever be a franchise QB. I mean, if he isn’t great after two or three NFL starts it’s just not gonna happen. Bust.

Right. Because a team's success is solely on the QB.
For Rosen, this game is reminding me of that game Eli had against the Ravens in '04 where a rookie QB just gets initiated.
I was thinking of that game against the Vikings in 2007.
That was my first live game at the meadowlands. Sat in the end zone dead center. When Eli’s back was to me I could call out every receiver he was going to throw to clear as day because his head followed the receiver from snap to release. It was not a confidence building game for me in regards to Eli. But I still said to the little old man sitting next to me “This kids gonna win us a super bowl I’m sure of it”. And he looks at me and says “you think this idiots gonna win a super bowl? Never gonna happen.” To this day I always wonder if he thought about our conversation a couple months later when Eli hoisted the Lombardi.

I would hope that's the case, but have doubts about his health running behind this dogshit OL and being repeatedly hit in the backfield. Emmitt Smith was running downhill behind one of the best OLs ever which is why I don't consider him a top 5 all-time RB (I know it's debatable). McCoy is super elusive and doesn't seem to take many big hits, Frank Gore does seem to take a lot of punishment.
RE: Justin Pugh playing like he's still wearing blue. Â
I'm in the man cave with 76ers/Bulls & Sox/Stros on. No NFL for me tonight.

should have been our 1st round pick... he is ao much better than Saquon!

I actually challenge you to find two posts in the archives where someone here said that Rosen should have been our pick over Barkley

Well, people have said that if ANY of the three highly touted QBs are franchise guys Barkley was a bad pick.
I am not going to judge a rookie QB in his 4th start ever.
Ive seen enough flashes in Rosen already in preseason and in his few games to see that he has a lot of talent and QBs take more time.
There was plenty of Rosen support on this board beside myself but I was definately one of those leading the charge.
Rosen is as his favorite coming out - let’s give it a few years

Then 5 seconds later said fitz caught 2 against Steelers in super bowl. Does anyone proofread this script?

Let me guess. You're an idiot, right?

Lmao. He didn’t play he’s hurt. Jeez
