THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL !!!!

TommytheElephant : 10/18/2018 8:31 pm
these games now have more rooting interest than divisional games

Although I refuse to root against the Giants
I will root for teams searching for a qb in the draft to win

Go Broncos

I hate football
This sucks
Denver has the chance to win more
BigBlue4You09 : 10/18/2018 8:35 pm : link
I’d rather Arizona get their second win. Don’t want anyone ahead of us, QB need or not
I want a fuckin tie
B in ALB : 10/18/2018 8:36 pm : link
And a shitshow with a million penalties.
Yawn.
SFGFNCGiantsFan : 10/18/2018 8:37 pm : link
What a horrible game.

I'm in the man cave with 76ers/Bulls & Sox/Stros on. No NFL for me tonight.
Justin Pugh playing like he's still wearing blue.
FStubbs : 10/18/2018 9:06 pm : link
For Rosen, this game is reminding me of that game Eli had against the Ravens in '04 where a rookie QB just gets initiated.
Wow
Joey in VA : 10/18/2018 9:08 pm : link
Justin Pugh is hurt, color me shocked.

Danny Kanell : 10/18/2018 9:08 pm : link
I’m facing Denver’s Defense tonight. Great start to my week
Pugh

Living up to that contract.

I was thinking of that game against the Vikings in 2007.
ThaJosht's it... Josh Rosen

should have been our 1st round pick... he is ao much better than Saquon!

I actually challenge you to find two posts in the archives where someone here said that Rosen should have been our pick over Barkley

Well, people have said that if ANY of the three highly touted QBs are franchise guys Barkley was a bad pick.
I wanted to draft Rosen
twostepgiants : 10/18/2018 9:25 pm : link
And I still would have

I am not going to judge a rookie QB in his 4th start ever.

Ive seen enough flashes in Rosen already in preseason and in his few games to see that he has a lot of talent and QBs take more time.

There was plenty of Rosen support on this board beside myself but I was definately one of those leading the charge.
Only in BBI fantasy land
B in ALB : 10/18/2018 9:27 pm : link
Do you pick the second or third best qb in the draft over the best player in the draft.
I'll admit I wanted Rosen.
FStubbs : 10/18/2018 9:29 pm : link
And so far that would've been the wrong pick but it's still early. He's looking terrible tonight.
I respect no ones unbiased opinion more than

Greg Cosell

Rosen is as his favorite coming out - let’s give it a few years
Freeman looks slow
UConn4523 : 10/18/2018 9:44 pm : link
while Lindsey is blazing fast and gets low to move piles. I don’t get this constant changing, how can you not give Lindsey more carries?
No
Toth029 : 10/18/2018 9:45 pm : link
Rookie would have survived behind this line. Throw in a putrid run game, it's over. Barkley gives stability and hope for the future - a QB is just another piece that needs added. Cardinals are in disarray even with their future QB.
Let's hope that Case Keenum plays great football the rest
Jay on the Island : 10/18/2018 9:51 pm : link
of the way. If he does Elway will be less inclined to trade up for Herbert.
I've never understood this, why run in that situation?
BestFeature : 10/18/2018 9:55 pm : link
You gain virtually nothing but might have a fumble or an injury. Why not kneel?

So QBs going 1-2 is always a mistake? QBs going 1-2 happens frequently — that’s NFL GMs selecting after exhaustive assessment —how exactly doe that translate int BBI fantasy land?
Aren't we 1-5 or did I miss something ?
MetsAreBack : 10/18/2018 10:34 pm : link
Barkley is individually incredible. And of course even the best running backs have about a 7 year career.

Really good qbs last 15 and that was before rule changes that if you dared to tackle the guy to the turf and gasp land on him that's an ejection and eternal shame.

Love Barkley -- but way too soon (and arrogant) to claim victory. Maybe if we had a championship or even playoff ready roster around him.. right now we have Jamaal Charles in his prime redux
By the way they love Fitz
MetsAreBack : 10/18/2018 10:36 pm : link
And rightfully so... but after his TD they said he now only needs tds against Ravens, Steelers and jets to have one against everyone.

Then 5 seconds later said fitz caught 2 against Steelers in super bowl. Does anyone proofread this script?

What? After Mayfield was picked, the Giants picked the best player in the draft. You don't pick for need. What's your point?
the point that is completely missed
mdc1 : 10/18/2018 10:41 pm : link
is the following:

Rosen looks like Eli, each with oline issues attempting to make plays. The difference is someone with a future (Rosen) and an old man (Eli) with little time left in the league and heading to the glue factory.

stay on topic, we will be talking about Rosen, Mayfield, and Darnell and Eli will be on fox announcing crew. Think about the future, when was the last time this team did a fucking thing of substance, like winning a game? Stop screwing around and start the build.

Totally. That Darnell guy is going to be amazing.

Giants need to start the build. NOW!

But let's stay on topic, folks.
Keep it up Arizona!
B in ALB : 10/18/2018 10:47 pm : link
You're not drafting a QB. Keep losing and pick Bosa. Take up that spot. Broncos winning is good news.
RBs last 10 years
allstarjim : 10/18/2018 10:52 pm : link
At least the best ones do. Sometimes more, like Lesean McCoy, Emmitt Smith, and Frank Gore. There is every reason to believe Saquon will play at least 10 years because he protects himself well on the field.

Yeah imagine that, the Jets with a rookie is .500 and the Giants with a veteran with 2 rings is 1-5.. Amazing how facts seem to point out things very clearly. Darnold 7 Tds, Eli 4TD...we can keep going, but why bother?
Josh Rosen...

Welcome to the NFL,kid
I wanted Rosen...
trueblueinpw : 10/18/2018 11:06 pm : link
But, yeah, after seeing him struggle tonight I’m sure he won’t ever be a franchise QB. I mean, if he isn’t great after two or three NFL starts it’s just not gonna happen. Bust.

Right. Because a team's success is solely on the QB.

Let me guess. You're an idiot, right?
omg the Giants would've been flagged for

That was my first live game at the meadowlands. Sat in the end zone dead center. When Eli’s back was to me I could call out every receiver he was going to throw to clear as day because his head followed the receiver from snap to release. It was not a confidence building game for me in regards to Eli. But I still said to the little old man sitting next to me “This kids gonna win us a super bowl I’m sure of it”. And he looks at me and says “you think this idiots gonna win a super bowl? Never gonna happen.” To this day I always wonder if he thought about our conversation a couple months later when Eli hoisted the Lombardi.

I would hope that's the case, but have doubts about his health running behind this dogshit OL and being repeatedly hit in the backfield. Emmitt Smith was running downhill behind one of the best OLs ever which is why I don't consider him a top 5 all-time RB (I know it's debatable). McCoy is super elusive and doesn't seem to take many big hits, Frank Gore does seem to take a lot of punishment.
