NFT: 10/19: Knicks (1-0) vs Nets (0-1)

Interesting to see how the young team responds to a taste of success. The Nets are better than the Hawks and have a chip on their shoulder, especially about the Knicks. I think it should be a good game.

That guy is a character as opposed to Hornacek who's face hasn't changed expression in 3 decades.

He was available to return last game, they said. But Fiz stuck with Vonleh because he was playing so well.

but since this is the only basketball thread... is anyone else amazed that Vince Carter is still playing and 23 minutes at that?

but if vonleh continues to play well kind of hard to juatify not playing him, unless fiz plays them together

There’s a certain aura he has in regards to his communication skills and relationship with players and even the media. He just knows how to work with people. Not that prior coaches didn’t, but they didn’t exhibit these excellent skills like Fizdale has.

Dare I say this franchise appears to have gotten shit right. I don’t even necessarily care about how high the next draft pick is. I almost feel like it doesn’t even matter as long as KP comes back 100%. They do need more talent but times aren’t as desperate as they used to be. Just keep this up and I’m not talkng about wins. Just in general keep it up.

That's fine with me. Everyone pretty much knows the Knicks ceiling this year without KP. Just wanna see growth for the kids.

I say the Knicks, tonight.

Play the other night. Ive got to root for them again tonight. Loved what we got out of youngsters Trier and Vonleh. Frank has wonderful defensive square up technique. He moves his feet exceptionally well. I also think he can find a home as a SF as he certainly has the size. Maybe ots early, but he has a game that reminds me of Leandro Barbosa's.

Also have to root for Hardaway Jr to have really nice games to make teams in the hunt who need a potent shooting guard justify the contract. Philly? Lakers? His % was a little low for me, but the whole team got off to a slow start shooting

Keeping us in it against an inspired Nets team.

Stuck watching the game pass free preview and the nets team. This woman is horrible.

Seven early points on 3/6 shooting, including a beautiful drive where the lay-in just rimmed out.
