Emmanuel Sanders thank you! 25 points is a great way to start a week.
I hate having g a bunch of players on bye and 1 player who plays on Monday night and is very questionable. Sanu is questionable with a hip injury and I have AB and Baldwin on bye. Do I take the chance or do I drop Sanu now and go with either
Crabtree vs NO
Westbrook vs Hou
Wilson vs DET
Agholor vs Car
Snead vs NO
Thoughts?
I think Wilson maybe the one I'd add first, but I'm starting to like Snead more and more.
It's taken a little while, but he seems to be developing a rapport with Flacco.
Wow was Vonn Miller and Bradley Chubb dominant or what?
One league I got him in I am in a must win game, so getting a huge performance like that was great.
In leagues I have the Chicago defense I didn't have a drop candidate so oh well. Denver was available but I couldn't get them without dropping Chicago, and didn't want to do that, despite the terrible matchup vs New England.
Team B gets: Jordan Howard & Calvin Ridley
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Team A RBs: Gurley, Kerryon, Chubb, Jones II, Sproles
Team A WRs: Evans, John Brown, Boyd, Keke, Tre'Quon
Team B RBs: Mixon, Hyde, Smallwood
Team B WRs: Antonio Brown, Diggs, Chester Rogers, Lockett, Sutton, Albert Wilson
Same here. That was fun. Totally offset a down game from D Johnson for me.

I just don't get the trade. I kind of get if for Team A, because you feel a little better about Doug Baldwin than Calvin Ridley. I probably do it if I'm Team A to get Baldwin. But even there he is no shoe-in to out-perform Ridley the rest of the way. Powell I guess is ok as a 4th RB or matchup-based flex.
So yeah, if you're Team A, I suppose I'd do it for Doug B.
Team B, I just don't get this trade. Jordan Howard is basically unplayable at this point, and getting Ridley for the cost of Baldwin to me at best is shuffling deck chairs, at worst, you are losing that swap.
Correct, it's Tyreek Hill, with the two fastest runs with the ball in his hands this season, at 21.95 and 21.78 mph.
But, who has the third fastest run (could be after the catch) with the ball in his hands this year?
Lindsey?
21.74 MPH
See I think freeman looks good as well. Brings some power to the table. Denver might have a little Bradshaw/Jacobs thing going with rookies. I
I don't think Wilson is going anywhere. I think he's going to continue to produce in that offense, because of that speed. That's why the Dolphins gave him $8 million a year.
I don't think Wilson is going anywhere as a central figure in that offense.

it’s maddening how much better he looks than Freeman but they are basically a dead even split in touches. That said it looks like Freeman has a high ankle sprain so Lindsey should have a couple of weeks with a more prominent role.

I thought he looked slow. Maybe it was the ankle, but i can’t understand why they don’t go with the hot hand more even in a game they are trying to grind out. He more than doubled Freeman’s YPC and had a 24 yarder called back that didn’t even count towards his gains.
Donte Moncrief, who reached 21.23 mph on a 67 yard TD reception. I think I would like to know when that radar was last calibrated on that one. I guess I hadn't realized that Moncrief had a 4.40 40 time at the combine, including a 39.5" vertical jump and a 132 inch broad jump. Tremendous athlete, I can't believe he hasn't been able to translate it to a better career.
Wilson actually has good football instincts on the football field, however.

With the game in hand... just probably keeping both fresh and get the experience. I really like both as a tandem. With Freeman our... I expect booker to more involved.

Yeah, I am Team A and was a bit shocked he accepted the offer. I did it for Baldwin (even though a bit of a risk) because Howard is infuriating at this point and Ridley has been boom/bust.
Richard is better and a pass catcher.
and then I got a trade offer for Chubb. I knew something was up.
I still think Hyde is more valuable (or will be once he gets settled in JAX), but I'm looking forward to seeing what Chubb can bring.
I already have Barkley and last week I acquired Kamara and Lindsay Via trades
Now Marshawn Lynch might be heading to IR and Chubb is the man in Cleveland.
Man, I am loaded at RB now.
Definitely Tre'Quan Smith, Cam Meredith, and maybe even Austin Carr.
I was going to play Tevin Coleman in the flex of a 12-team .5 PPR this week. I'm 4-2 in 2nd place in that league. I swiped up Chubb quickly (I dumped Tevin Coleman although I should've dumped Mike Williams, but I wasn't going to take any time it all to consider...I made the move as quickly as possible because it could've been a matter of seconds as to who got Chubb).
I now have Zeke, Joe Mixon, and Nick Chubb as my top 3 RBs. Kicking myself a little for dumping Coleman though even though he's been a disappointment. I think I could've used him as trade bait to upgrade my TE spot (Burton).
I do have the #2 waiver priority in that league so if I choose I can simply fix it and then use it to trade. What do you guys think?
In my 10-team standard, I'm a hard-luck 2-4 in 7th place (but 3rd highest in total points). I grabbed Chubb and dropped Jared Cook who is on bye, I still have OJ Howard and Njoku. My RB corps is now Kamara, Chubb, and Sony Michel as my top 3, with James Conner and Aaron Jones as depth.
Huge boost to my team. I'm in a must-win week and was playing Michel @ Chicago and hated the matchup, but I had to do it with Conner on bye. Now I'm rolling with Chubb vs Tampa and feel better about it.
In my other .5 PPR 12-team, I've had Chubb on my bench for a couple of weeks just waiting for something like this to happen. I can imagine the disappointing looks on my league-mates faces when they go to the free agent page and frantically type in Chubb's name to see he's already owned by me! <Insert evil laugh here>
Huge news.
I think Richard is the better pick up, personally. I think he'll get more opportunities with Lynch on the shelf as Martin isn't the bellcow that Lynch was.
I also believe Chubb is going to get ALL of the work that Hyde is vacating, averaging about 20 carries a game, and possibly a little more if Chubb is more effective than Hyde (and I think he will be). Chubb is a stud.
Johnson is only getting 5.5 touches per game, I don't see any reason why that would change. Richard was getting 7 touches per game but I think he'll get a few more in a committee with Doug Martin.
I would
Definitely Tre'Quan Smith, Cam Meredith, and maybe even Austin Carr.
Tre'Quan Smith's numbers when filling in for Ginn were very good, better than Meredith.

Agree. He's rostered in all my leagues.

Would you trade Crowell for Chubb if you were virtually assured of a playoff spot (in other words, it's not about this week or next week or the week after that)?
I would
Agreed.
I just got a trade offer of Kenny Stills for Nick Chubb.
Tre'Quan Smith
or
Keke Coutee
so basically, who contributes more this year in standard leagues?
Right. But with those RB's Smith is probably 4th best option in the offense at best, right?
Thomas, Kamara, Ingram and then Smith (assuming you have him ahead of Meredith and Watson).
On Hou Coutee is probably similar.
Miller, Hopkins, Fuller then Coutee (assuming you have him before Foreman when he returns, Blue, and Griffin)
I'm just not sure if Coutee being a safety valve and getting rushing attempts too sort of like Tyreek Hill gives him more value or not. He's a slot receiver who gets rushing attempts (or will).
I'm in a 10 team league with my wife and my brother's family along with his wife and in-law's. This is my wife's first year playing fantasy football.
We have FAAB waivers, so we bid on free agents instead of the typical waiver order process. My wife placed a bid on Chubb last night for $7. After she made the claim request, she handed me her phone and asked me make sure that it was done correctly (again it's her first year playing). I looked at her phone and confirmed that the request was made for the $7 amount and also noticed her transactions icon (this is on CBS) was highlighted green with a 1.
CBS does not send an email for a waiver request, it's only sent after the player has been claimed, so there isn't an time stamp with her bidd.
Fast forward to this morning and my brother's team was awarded Chubb for $5. I'm not sure why she wasn't awarded Chubb if she was the higher bidder. I sent an email to the Commissioner (my brother's father in-law) asking for an explanation.
This is a money league but was wondering if you were the commissioner, how would you handle this scenario?

Sounds like a user error. Not sure what you can do.
How much is your FAAB, we use that in most of my leagues and one has a $100 annual budget and Chubb went for $45 and another uses a $200 budget and he went for $80.

For me it has more to do with how the QBs are playing than the WRs. If Watson continues to play hurt than Coutee really isn’t worth anything. Then I see the Saints schedule and it’s basically all indoors and/or nice weather for basically the entire season.
Coutee is probably the better WR from what I can tell, just not sure his situation is better.

We each get $100 - What was paid in free agency acquisitions goes into the end of year pot.
I can confirm her bid was entered correctly ($7) and was submitted correctly.
Would asking the commish to put Chubb back on the free agent block, reassign the player dropped (Alfred Morris) back to my brothers team and reopen blind bids to all teams be unrealistic?
CBS, when we use to be on it and it was a pay site) used to allow much more commissioner control, not sure if it still does.
But unless you can prove a site error, why would they put Chubb back into free agency?

I don't think you can get them to reverse it unless you put up a big stink. It's really hard to prove your side more than just your word.
Start 3
Njoku vs TB
Chubb vs TB
Crowell vs Minn
Uzomah vs KC

Njoku and Chubb and then I think I go with Uzomah over Crowell, but I haven't researched it enough so maybe someone else can give better advice.
I'm thinking the same. Always sit crowell when he goes off though lol
.5 ppr

Yeah, that's unrealistic. As commish, I'd nicely tell you that there's nothing to be done.
Did your wife make any other waiver claims/pickups that could have superceded the Chubb claim? Is it possible she dropped the player she would have dropped to claim Chubb in another transaction? Did she actually have $7 in FAAB to spend? Does CBS show the losing bids? Maybe hers ended up as $1 or $0?
Just trying to find some reasons why it may have happened. I find CBS's whole fantasy platform to suck ass, and am glad I don't have any leagues on there any more.
