Herbert faces another tough test. Wazzu has beaten Oregon the last three times they've met (Herbert missed last year's game with a broken collarbone). Also, Wazzu has won 10 straight at home, so we'll see if Herbert can help break that streak.
S Jalen Thompson is the leader of Wazzu's secondary and will likely be a Day 2 pick in April if he declares.
Joey, in fairness, I wasnt necessarily buying into Herbert before this game. But I will say, I am completely open to having my mind changed. In fact I hope it is.
But Herbert would be far cheaper.
And now Oregon is down by 10...
He comes back to win this one after being down 27 and that will be a big statement.
Joey, I hear you and agree. We arent even in November yet and some have made up their minds. My questions about Herbert have nothing to do with ability. I am concerned when I hear him described as an introvert. The Giants need a leader. Hopefully his full personality comes out in an interview. I also want to see what he does when he needs to put his team in his back. Thankfully this 2nd half is nothing like the first half.
Have to say the young man is impressing the heck out of me right now. Im seeing what I was hoping to see. Hes responding to adversity, hes leading, hes cool and decisive under pressure. Everything else is burning down around him and he is ballin at the moment. If this is the QB he is, then hes worth the #1 pick.

He's running throwing making plays any way he can. Isn't that what you want in a franchise QB?
Clearly the second half is a mirage.
No Larry he had a bad half of football, he can't be good.

It's season long and play to play, you watch the guy and you see the traits and you know this. I see people claiming he's #1 overall then this week a bunch of pass because he's not winning against a very good defense. It's just unreal. It's a year long process of play and ups and downs, combine, workouts, interviews and everything else that matters. It's not one throw or one run or one half that makes or breaks anyone and if it was Eli would have won zero games in this league. It's about a body of work and the knee jerk idiocy I see here just fries my circuits. This isn't emotional, watching your team IS, this is fair evaluation and I see none of it here. I know you know your stuff, but go back and read the dopeyness, it's rampant.

Darnold is an introvert too. Darnold's boring, man, and you know what? That's fine. I don't need a Baker Mayfield or a Cam Newton.

Boring is ok with me, I love boring. Its one of the reasons why I love Eli. I just dont want timid. It really all depends what they mean by introvert.
Tell you what, hes certainly not playing timid at the moment.
Great body position by #9
So...if introvert = Iceman under pressure, then Im good with it.

He's a unique dude. He wants to be a doctor after his football career is over. He has a 4.0 GPA as a biology major. He volunteered in Uganda to help build a basketball court.

What a laser by Herbert
Dude people didn't like his first half how can you argue with that based on improved play? You so crazy.
Sorry there are no more QBs to draft and no more halves of football left to evaluate

All good things! Well grounded
Minshew looks like a porn star from the 70s. From now on, I am calling him Boogie Nights
Give it a rest. This thread has nothing to do with the 2018 draft but since you decided to make it about that, I suggest you go check out Darnolds game against the same team last year.
I do like how he moves when chased or when the pocket is folding. I think his scrambling ability is very overrated. He may have good speed for a QB, but he seems to take half measures when he is pushed to run.
I liked what Jones showed quite a bitmore. More decisive, throws with more touch and when he decides to run, he knows how to move the chains. I think he is built more solid and I think he makes quicker decisions.
The other may be way too risky to take in the first round.
This is just way beyond stupid, even given your history of clueless talent evaluation.
And you can tell who drops into these threads to continue selling their narrative and opinions with a mind shut as tightly as possible to any new or contrary information.
I used to enjoy your posts, but this follow me or all is lost mantra is tired and uninteresting.

I'm not trying to get anyone to follow me. I'm just trying to understand the BS narratives that are generated by the people that think the Giants can do no wrong despite the avalanche of evidence to the contrary.

Its a well known fact that there are posters on this site that would rather be right, than wrong. They will never admit it, but its absolutely the case. GoTerps is the leader of that pack. His arrogance knows no bounds. There is no doubt that he is hoping Herbert sucks. Hes busting on others, but hes not exactly watching with an unbiased mind either. For the opposite reason as hes accusing others.
The best part is, hes often admitted to not watching much college football. Yet hes continuously the expert on the matter. Ive never come across anyone thats thought so highly of themselves in my life. Its incredibly comical, really. The bottom line for him is, if the Giants land a QB in the next draft and he turns out to be the goods, Terps knows hes spent an insane amount of hours on here bitching moaning and complaining, telling everyone how screwed the Giants are for the rest of eternity, and it would be all an incredible waste of time. Hes invested at this point. His monsterously inflated ego depends on Herbert sucking and the Giants being stuck in QB hell forever
There are posters on BBI that can't accept the possibility that the Giants don't know what the hell they're doing. Any move the Giants make will be supported by these posters.
I've said it before: the Giants could draft an inanimate carbon rod and there would be posters here saying it was the right move.
