Herbert thread is what it is.
Daniel Jones on now. Down 14-0 to UVA. He is plagied by drops, but just threw a deep ball into double coverage which led to a pick. Had a very nice run for the 1st on 3rd and 11.
Finley with 16 NC State v. 3 Clemson at 3:30 might be the game of the day.
Lock w/ Mizzou v. Memphis at 4
Of course Herbert plays tonight.
The tackling was atrocious on that play.
Agreed completely. It doesn't really matter, though, because the D can't stop anything right now. Herbert has missed throws today, too, but they only have 9 plays all half.
Im definitely watching and I dont think he looks all that bad. The big sack was a result of his lone completely whiffing on an assignment. His two deep throws were right there but his receivers dont have that extra gear. But I think the playcalling is holding him back

Offense is trash. Run, Run, pass every possession. It’d be nice to see them throw it on 1st and 2nd down and let the qb get in a rhythm

For sure. Their D is BAD!
Because they have the worst coaching staff in the nation. Down 20 they ran three times to put themselves down 17.
Agreed. I can't believe how good he is.
I’m so happy right now.

An absolutely extraordinary player. A mix of Russell Wilson and Drew Brees. Perfect pocket presence, accurate, mobile, has a gun....if only he were coming out this year.
Agreed. I can't believe how good he is.
Agree as well. His command of the offense for such a young player is extraordinary! He literally has everything you want in a QB

Except draft eligibility. Herbert has looked very good in the second half. He plays in a juvenile offense, but you can see he is still making reads.
Agreed. Every QBs warts were shown today. Out of it all I think Jones performed the best of the potential draft eligible guys. Like you said. Had Jones’s receivers caught their passes today he’d look a lot better stat wise.
Wow
Herbert did not light the world on fire today, but that dude can play. We would be lucky to be in a position to draft that guy.
But good lord that was a putrid performance by the Buckeyes. And it’s been coming, hopefully a wake up call

Haskins threw the ball 73 times....THATS FUCKING INSANE! He threw a few good balls that wound up going incomplete in the end zone, but a top quarterback with the kind of talent he has playing with him should be able to get his team more than 20 points against a .500 team.
Lemme guess. Urb had a headache during the game and couldn't remember the calls. Then his chest hurt. Went to BW3 for some plain wings and water last night. Game over.

Ohio State got knocked out of the playoff last year because they got demolished by Iowa. This one was worse. Alabama, Clemson, and Note Dame are in if they win out, and a 1-loss Big 12 team gets in over an Ohio State team that just let Purdue put 49 on them.

That LSU/Bama game is so MASSIVE now. Yes, OSU/Mich at the end of the year was always huge, but OSU losing opens the door for LSU or Michigan. LSU wins against Bama at home, and they are obviously the favorite to take a seat in the top 4. But it also could make that Michigan/OSU game a play in game if Bama wins and the other 3 win out. Awesome drama if it holds.
As a Michigan fan but one who also roots for ND, You cant beat that drama if they both make it.
3 drops (2 first downs)
10/15 on 3rd downs; 6/11 beyond the marker
16/19 on throws from 0-10 yards
1/9 beyond 20 yards
4/10 outside of the pocket

Purdue is much better than people are giving them credit for. And there’s no fucking way a big 12 team gets in over OSU if they run the table.
November 24 looking like a de facto play in game

you Michigan fans sure are quick to turn on your team. Nice win in a tough environment.

Excuse me. I demanded a first down throw, called up Jimbo and said it’s time. Next first down was a 78 yard TD pass to take control of the game.
Even Harbaugh needs a little dep in his game plan.
3 drops (2 first downs)
10/15 on 3rd downs; 6/11 beyond the marker
16/19 on throws from 0-10 yards
1/9 beyond 20 yards
4/10 outside of the pocket
I didn't see any accurate long throws by Herbert. He did impress me with his ability to throw on the run, especially to the right.

The one completion in the 1/9 stat beyond 20 yards was the deep crossing pattern for 28 yards late in the game. And that was a nice dart.
But otherwise, yes, the long passes did seem to be a hope and a prayer. There were a couple of flags on long passes where the receiver was held up.
Not if they lose to LSU.

But last year the Iowa loss was their second loss of the season. So it became a two loss conference champ OSU against a one loss non conference champ Alabama.
If OSU wins out and has one loss I think they get in. But they were rightfully dropped substantially in the polls. So they may have to build some style points up between now and then. Something is just missing with this year's team
They have been handling teams since. One of them being Boston College who was a hot team. And of course OSU.
Only way a one loss big ten champ could be in some trouble is if Alabama loses a close game to either LSU or in the SEC championship game. Plus Clemson and Notre Dame go undefeated. Then they may get jumped again by non conference champion Alabama.
But there will be other losses we don't expect before the season is up. Always happens

If Michigan or OSU win out - one of them will be in. Especially Michigan with their only loss to a top 3 team.
We were told yes by BBi before.... so I am going to say yes now.
It's the big one!
With the margin of performance over other teams, really hard to believe they would leave Alabama out of the playoffs. Think about it, Purdue lost to Mizz, Alabama stomped them out. If Alabama beats LSU by 2-3 scores, I think even a rivalry loss to Auburn might not have that much sway, provided they make it to SEC championship and deliver the goods. Alabama's biggest threat is themselves.
